They didn't even send him into bat until the innings almost ended. What's the point in picking him if they were gonna play safe by sending in Jaddu ahead of him? We can't afford to have 10 overs of mediocre bowling (Dube + Jadhav) + 10 overs of Jaddu and still expect to win.

The guy is on his debut. Cut him some slack.

 

This TM has properly destroyed our strike bowlers like Shami and Kuldeep into proper defensive bowlers. TM prefers 0/50 over 3/60 type of bowlers. Will reap the benefits in the months ahead.

Can bowl 130+, can hit from ball 1. There is enough to work with there. Plus he's earned his spot after doing well in FC cricket and for the A team. Deserves a proper run

That is such a vague quality. I am sure you can say the same about any mediocre player. 
 

I am not a fan of Pandya either but atleast he has performed in IPL and made a mark there.

 

Domestic performances have to be taken with a pinch of salt especially for allrounders. Jadeja has 3 300s, Rishi Dhawan was supposedly a top allrounder.

Don't think he classifies or thinks of himself as a bowler. He is a hard hitting batsman who can bowl a bit. Ideally he should be used to fill-in overs but not as one of your five bowlers.

Ever since they broke kulcha and started bringing batsmen who can bowl a bit and bowlers who can bat a bit we are screwed. Why you would change something which was working so well in past. Bowlers like bhuvi, jadeja, chahar and batter like jadhav won't win u anything. Why would you bring perennial failure like jadega , Karthik, rayadu and then new batch of Thakur, chahr , Shankar, krunal who are never going to get success

Lol even people on ICF were trashing Kulcha because they couldn't bat and wanted lower-order batsmen who could bat. As if they're going to win matches at No. 8.

Because our management and fans are greedy. We lost the semifinal also because of this thinking.

Kulcha were never bashed for their batting however they were bashed for their mental block in bowling at occasions. But at least they own these foreign batsmen for 2 years until last aus series which we lost.

Dube is a middle order batsman cum big hitter who can bowl a bit.

 

On ODI debut, TM uses him as a bowler who can bat a bit  ( 5th bowler cum 8th batsman  )

 

And we are seeing the results.

 

(  This TM would perhaps have used debutant Yuvraj or Ganguly as bowlers who can bat a bit  ... not that I am saying that Dube is as good as the 2 superstars ... but pointing out their reading of the game and player types )
