India vs. Australia - World Test Championship Final @ Lords - June 2021 - Pathetic Planning

Aus are catching up with India in the points table.

I think there is almost 95 % chance that India and Australia will finish either  1/2 in the league stages.

I expect our away series NZ in a couple of months to be the most critical series for us in the Test Championship. NZ is very very tough in their backyard. I fully expect our bowlers to do their part but our batsmen to  disappoint like always - the usual top order suspects and toothless tail.

We will lose to Aus in Aus - with Aussie pacers breathing fire and Smith continuing his love affair with Indian bowlers - the question is how minimal will the loss be.

We will trounce Eng in India by 3 test matches at-least.

I am extremely surprised to see that this Test Championship final is to be decided by a single Test match, not even a best of 3.

Worst of all, the test championship Final is in the early part of England summer where rain is always a spoilsport.

Fully expect another controversial finish to the ICC Test Championship final because of the naked incompetency and brainless planning of ICC.

I still hope Ganguly is able to intervene and push for a best of 3 match finals towards the second half of England summer for it to be a worthy Test Championship Final

So like any other test series? So we can have 5 match test series but one series of 3 match is too much?

too many wrist-slitters here.

agarwal

sharma (still don't agree with him as opener but unfortunately hell get the go-ahead)

pujara

kohli (C)

rahane

vihari

saha (WK)

Ashwin

Shami

Ishant

Bumrah

Reserves:

Gill /KL Rahul

Pant (WK)

Saini

Umesh

I think this team is good enough to win the Test Championship.

The whole thing is a farce. Fk this gimmick, I am looking forward to Ind v Aus next winter. If both sides are at full strength, it would be great entertainment.

I am really looking forward for this series....

Australia will come at us hard....and it will be a series to watch out for

NZ series will show us if this team has really made any progress and if they really have any realistic chance of winning the ICC Test Championship. Going by our struggles in last 10 years in England even against weak English teams and Kohli's inability to win any multi-team trophies, looks very difficult

The bigger problem for me is that IPL will happen just before the Test championship final.

The IPL final might happen around end of May... That leaves a 14 day gap.. all the tiredness and possible injuries from playing 45 day long tournament to suddenly switching to the longest format in a span of two weeks might take a toll on players, particularly Indian players, since almost all of them play through the IPL
