“I wouldn’t like to cite particular instances though there’s a list of misconducts that have been reported. The last one was in Baroda. The Mumbai team manager was very angry and reported an incident. I wouldn’t like to get into details here but something’s very wrong. Someone needs to have a very clear and serious chat with him,” add those tracking developments.

What kind of misconducts?

I’ve officially given up on him. Sad but have to admit..

Why would you give up on a supremely talented 21 year old player? Injuries are part of life and hope he comes back strongly. He has the potential to be an ATG test opener for India, after Gavaskar & Sehwag.

KLR 2.0.

Supremely talented but injury prone early on in international career.  Luckily KLR has broken out of that cycle after a string of unfortunate injuries (remember he got hurt while walking his dog or something?).  Hope Shaw is able to break the injury bug soon!

The only difference that I can see is that, when fit, KLR has/had a lot more agility on the field than Shaw does now.

Tough luck so far, rolled ankle injury prior to Aussie series and again shoulder tear.  He does have a knack of stepping up when it counts...made 100's on debut at every level but unfortunately these injuries hampered him big time.

What's the point of bringing this in a thread discussing his injury? He's barely out of his teens, and not everyone's a docile yes-man at that age. What's the news in a 20 year old being a hot head or breaking some team rule?

One could easily go the Kambli way. It's upon the bcci to keep the guys on track.

Kohli complaining about attitude is rich. Anyway, a leader and professional set up need to find ways to deal with players with different personalities...maybe Shaw/nair didn't suck up to become part of Kaptaan's in club? Maybe they spoke out if turn in a meeting or nair asked why he was dropped? Ponting was a trouble maker for several years after debut, as was Symonds and Warne for entire career, yet Australian set up managed to get best out of them

From the video it looks like it is not about personality or rubbing someone the wrong way.....more about unprofessional behavior ,lack of drive towards fitness and bad habits that don't go with professional sports .

Players who are not fit or averse to fitness training cannot play for India. This Indian team is very fit and they do want incoming players to stick to fitness regiments of the team.Young players have no excuse of not training hard enough.

Mumbai cricket is very protective of their young stars and if they have complained then there is some issue.

Think its a  publication owned by times of India

The exact same article was in mumbai mirror too.

Isn't mumbai mirror more like a gossip paper?

If they are the same,I would take their reporting with a pinch of salt.

He came back bulkier and with a lot of flab around his waist. For a 20-year old to be in that kind of shape was shocking. The theories of him having  a poor attitude to fitness could well be true.

I do hope his mentors help him stay focussed and have a better ethic, only way he can achieve the amazing potential he has shown. He is only 20, so an year or two away from int'l cricket will not hurt him much. Perhaps a county stint will help him the best.

Shaw has been declared fit and has cleared the yo yo test. He will be joining the A team in NZ and maybe selected in the test side as the 3rd opener.

I see something unusual here. A shoulder Injury went away in 4-5 days   .......?

initial action not to pick must have been more  due to off field happenings going on with him . And this 1 game vs Aus must have made them to re

        think again .

Am worried how far he has fallen off if one looks at him now. A 20 year old guy with so much bulge . What was he doing ?

Would be shame if such a talent fades away.  Hope he understands that all he got /will get ,only if he shines on cricket field.

Does brat think only guys with a 6 pack can bat? He needs to be reminded how his baap Sehwag demolished bowlers, how guys like Dravid, Sachin, and Laxman could bat. For all the noise this guy makes he still can't hold onto lollipops at slip.  What good is your fitness if you're unable to do that? Yes, a player should be match fit but doesn't need to be ready for a wrestling match or a marathon.
