Trophy is irrelevant, what matters is how many how many of these young players go onto the next level.

Well it's not totally irrelevant, Kaif & Yuvraj got into our LO team on the back of their U19 triumph, same goes for Brat & to a lesser extent Shaw & Gill. The bigger point would be personal glory for a lot of these youngsters because many will give up cricket for various reasons, a lot of people forget that even if you have talent there are other reason why you may not want a career in cricket. This was a golden chance for many of the players because it could well be the last  time they represent India, any way well done to the lads for showing up that fight!

Well played Bangla Boys...congratulations ! India played well throughout the tournament but just stumbled in final. I just watched the last few overs but looked like they gave away too many extras and was surprised they weren't attacking in the end when only wickets would have saved them. Anyways some really good players in the team that can be future stars.

Also what’s so great about Rahul Dravid’s coaching? Infrastructure is producing all this ground level talent, we still managed to lose Asia cup, now finals here.

I mean Shaw,Gill,Koti,Nagarkotti, Pant,Samson, Sarfaraz, Kishen these are good talents who would have shined regardless of Dravids coaching.

His one great insight is that fielding is overrated. By the time players reach Dravid he can only fine tune things anyway. Wouldn't give him too much credit or criticism.

Me too, never appreciated much BD team's progress over the years, congratulation, they are the true champion, won the under 19 WC overseas and beat a very strong Indian team. Wonderful effort. Now, BD fans please welcome your heroes in a big way when they arrive Dacca with the trophy, they deserve it .

These bdseshis we're hurling abuse since start and at the end before 2 or 3 runs for victory they were all doing mc/bc from boundary and came running after Indian players ...such a chutiya bunch th y are.

that Shorful Islam was acting totally bonkers...these guys ran around the field screaming in faces of Indian fielders. Just absurd - the whole country seems to have a massive chip on its shoulder when it comes to India, and this after we liberated them from the genocidal boot of Pak Army!
