International passengers were thermal checked since end of Jan. This virus spread because of Tablighi Jamaat. Migrant crisis is also over-reaction. We have a big population so even 10% of movement makes a headlines.

International flights should had been stopped or all passengers should be forcibly quarantined in late feb , early March. Tablighi definitely increased the cases but even before that people like Kanika kapoor went from airport and was partying. She was a celebrity so it came in news o/w we don't know how many like her spread Corona in india.

As per reports, 10% of Lahore's population is infected

You don't stop international travel for 100 odd cases also. There is only hindsight in your argument. It's like heads or tails, you will always whine. Social distancing, lockdown was to prevent the numbers of exploding. And that has worked out. Now, blame it on Tablighi who spread it all over India. It's been difficult to contain as it has spread in entire nation rather than certain regions.

For 100-200 cases international travel cannot be stopped or passengers cannot be quarantined. But for 500 cases entire country can be locked which has massive collateral damage. The Great Punjab Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 India getting very high positive cases these days, right into the 6 to 8000 a day. With all the migrant and relaxed social distancing, the spread could be a lot higher though the most vulnerable group has been the seniors especially the Long Term Care in the western countries. Concentrated seniors all in one building is asking for trouble without proper measures.
