Try to avoid team moments like winning a tournament etc but keep it to individual moments or brilliance 

 

1.  148 vs Pakistan in Vizag. I was like who is this wannabe John Abraham with this 50 rs hair straightening done at the local hair  Saloon. I was like he looks like a pehelwaan and swings his bat like those Indian clubs in the akhaada . Lo and behold I was lapping up every moment and suddenly we had another player in our side that we would be a must watch cricketer for years to come.

 

2.  183 vs Srilanka. One hell of a single handed beat down. You won’t get too many brutal innings than that. That right there we knew that this exciting cricketer was a bonafide superstar

 

3.   The 6 in Mumbai in 2011 that brought an entire nation of 1.3 b people to its feet and then reduced them to tears of joy.

 

4.  Removing the glove during the tense final ball in WT20 2016 against Bangladesh. Those little things added to MSD’s legend and cricket acumen.

5.  76* vs England at Lords to save the test match which would help India go and win the series for the first time in years. This showed that the guy could not only be destructive but he was a batsman with brains. Added a new dimension to Dhoni then.

 

Over all Great cricketer. Top 10 Indian cricketer of all time for sure hands down

Back to back centuries vs Pakistan A at Nairobi, a tournament which brought him into limelight. He brought up one of his centuries with a six over long off against seamer. I though the guy is badass cool. Waiting for those highlights.

 

MS Dhoni helped India get better of and later on overpower SL on big occasions and at thier home. India used to get routinely smashed by Lanka at home. Dhoni's performance in 2008 as a batsman and the way he neutralized Murali was major reason for SL defeat against a young Indian team, particularly pleasing after test defeat.

 

Match saving innings vs England at Lord's. The best bit was when he confessed after the match I have trouble leaving the balls. However,  the best innings was the brutal 92 at Oval, highlights of which was gigantic six against Pietersen.

 

MS Dhoni blitzkrieg vs SA which went unnoticed due to crowd clamouring for Sachin's 200. Those bottom hand jabs against Steyn & Langeveldt were brutal still beautiful.

 

And obviously the WC final moment. However, the moment is not the six for me, it was the nonchalant roll of the bat afterwards. Typical nonchalance.

 

The Yuvi - Dhoni shows against Pakistan. Most fun times as a fan.

1) When Shreesanth was day dreaming at boundary line and Dhoni screams 'Oye Shree...udhar girl friend nehi hai teri...idhar dekh"

2) Dhoni flirting and showing love sign to Deepika in the middle of a cricket match.

3) Allowing Ganguly to captain the side one final time.

4) When Dhawan was mocking injured Watson, Dhoni intervened and asked him to stop this non-sense.

5) Coming to press conference with the entire team to show unity.

6) When he pushed Mustafizur for intentionally blocking his path while running.

7) 104m six against BD in Asia cup final and Ramiz Raja's commentary "He punchured the spirit of the crowd with that shot".

8) When asking Jadeja to bowl slowly and get hit for a six.

9) Sending 2019 WC match ticket to a Pak fan.

10) 112m six against Australia in last over to win the game.

Still remember that game back in 2008. It was against Australia in Wankhede Stadium when both Dhoni and Yuvi were most eligible bachelor and both were hitting on Deepika..lol. Deepika was 1 movie old that time and was attending that match along with SRK. Dhoni got filmy and started showing heart towards Deepika.

His 183 against SL narrowly misses out, till then we used to get bullied so much by Sanath an co, nice payback, super entertainment that day.

 

Last over in 2007 WT20 to Joginder, was like April Fools' prank, the range of emotions all Indian fans must have gone through in that over OMG.

Another moment which many wont talk about , one the best captaincy from dhoni whole tournament 

 

• Rohit sharma- we took vijay n rohit in that tournament and vijay opened in warmup games, both vijay n rohit failed and most captains wud have send vijay to open and dhoni was also blamed to be bias for CSK player but it wasnt the case
• New openers 
• Kohli not at his peak
• Dhoni n raina not in form
• DK at 4
• Our fast bowling - Bhuvi, umesh, ishant, Irfan
• The fixing saga in IPL before This tournament and Dhoni name doing rounds

Looking at all these things no one gave a chance, yet we were unbeaten and our fielding was never seen before in that tournament
