His off-side play is very good (see U19 videos). But i think it was plan to target short boundary and lash it on the leg side with limited overs play.

Franco Vazquez Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Wouldn't last against good bowling attack

Ankit_sharma03 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 (edited) Pakistan shud use him at opening in both odi n t20....he ll use pp well. Why is babar opening in t20 . His role model is also rohit. Best place to bat in LOI is top 3 Edited September 2, 2020 by Ankit_sharma03 SK_IH 1
nevada Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I think we should stop paying any attention to officially declared age. Interestingly, Pakistani players seem to age in reverse! There's the ageless wonder Afridi and currently, both Shoaib and Hafiz appear 3-4 years younger than their declared age. Maybe like reverse swing they reverse age! Suhaan, Mosher and Skipper 2 1
Straight Drive Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 One innings is too much to say that they have found a gem. This is a poor England bowling lineup and the wickets are batting friendly where we have seen scores near to 200. Skipper 1

Have you ever watched Kohli, Rahul bat or even Warner in T20s. Their range enables them to be destructive & elegant at the same time. Anyways the limited point made was lack of range & dragging everything on the leg side, not ugliness. It's a different fact altogether that Dube is ugly to watch apart from being limited batsman, irrespective of formats. Skipper 1

This is poorest attack among all test/lois playing nations He has a glaring weakness against short pitched bowling, but many players do have it and still have piled on runs He has a great start to his career, lets see how he goes against top notch attacks in tests and odis as hype machinery in pakistan may have landed him on Uranus already Skipper and Straight Drive 2

If laxman, dravid were playing today they wouldn't have looked ugly anyway, the basic batting behaviour (gesture, style whatever) is always evident irrespective of the format you play,Dravid,Laxman would have started targetting cow corner in a ugly manner but that's about it,no way they'd look wierd (for their reputation) Skipper and SK_IH 2
Franco Vazquez Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I have not seen him play in FC but in U19 WC he looked better than a hack
Austin 3:!6 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Haidar Ali played U19 WC this year against us and batted well there too. However likes of Yasasvi Jaiswal totally outplayed him. The fact that Haidar Ali already made his debut for Pakistan and Jaiswal is not even in pipeline shows how difficult it is to break into current Indian team. Anyway, good batsman this lad and mentioned on record that Rohit Sharma is his idol. Ankit_sharma03 and sandeep 2

He may do well even against better bowling teams and bowler friendly wickets in T20i (now bowler friendly wickets in T20i is rare with small boundaries and flat wickets), but its better to have atleast some sample size to conclude that he is a find. I ll be honest I haven't seen him bat much in domestic matches. But I have seen enough of him in international cricket apart from IPL to see he is a limited batsman who is easily troubled when the ball is out of his comfort zone.
