The Empire is prodcued by Nikhil Advani. The same guy who directed 'patriotic' movies like D Day, Batla House and Airlift.

Don't think he has any ulterior agenda like you mentioned.

 

PS: this series is 'lifted' as is from a book authored by a British author Alex Rutherford.

Yes ,I am aware that it's been taken from Alex Rutherfords series although the series is nothing like it.I have read all of those books.

Also,not sure D day is a patriotic film.
The man has also directed Congress party's campaign in 2019.

Thats because there are no fictional stories where Nazis are glorified as heroes or nation builders. In every historical war movies I have seen Nazis are usually disgusting characters with no moral values whatsoever. I am sure there were at least a couple of Nazi soldiers/ generals who where just regular guys stuck in a rut and being told what to do.

 

That actually is a great idea right there, why don’t you write  a script  about a fun loving Nazi engineer who took part in building the autobahn and show some Nazis as good guys, let’s see if you can get funding for such a creative project.

 

Free idea, don’t even want credit. Enjoy

Oliver Stone directed Alexander was controversial making him look stupid and leaving out so of his eastern escapades. There was similar outrage in the west, not an Indian trait anyway

Judgement at Nuremberg.

The 'stuck in a wrong place at a wrong time and acted as honourably as possible' trope as legal defense and comparative justice of the victors are topics this movie covers in detail.

 

Wether or not law interests you as a subject, this is a *great* movie. Asks valid questions on what is justice. Is retribution masquerading as justice really justice? To what extent can we judge someone guilty by association etc.

yes, judgement at nuremberg has more nuance than most movies. I doubt however if it could be made today.

It was made in the early 60s when the wounds from the war were fresh. It can definitely be made today

All the forum's Telugu abbayis and ammayis, if you are able to watch the movie without choking up, let me know. 

 

Waterworks in full flow on my end for a solid 2 hours of the 2.5 hours run time. Wow, that was a hard watch :cry:

Malignant directed by James Wan of Saw fame, a good old fashioned gory horror flick with an amazing BGM, photography etc.

Anyone have seen this masterpiece at one time Indian engineers have made this masterpiece achieve IMDB 8.3 rating. More than Dark knight Rises, Blood Diamond , Inglorious Bastered and some others.It was famous movie in all engineering college during ragging.Where you have to watch the movie and rate it as 10 on IMDB.
