Team India will keep going downhill as long as Kohli and Shastri retain their jobs as captain and coach

@putrevus Hey there Kohlitard!

These are not 370-400 pitches that we are playing on.

No bowling plans, no field settings, poor bowling changes, horrible body language etc.

This retard captain was only giving 2 over spells to the bowlers like it’s a T20 game.

hey there, go and check all matches before this match how many overs Bumrah bowled, there will be no bowling plans if your best bowlers are unable to take any wickets. One match he bowls 2 overs all of sudden everyone is expert on captaincy.

Go and check Bumrah's record after world cup.

India team without any batting firepower and Kohli not firing in both matches scored 300 plus in both matches. You are talking about bowling plans, are you kidding me?

He is at it again,he has again started blaming youngsters

He blames guys in National side

He will go to any extent to defend joke of the century,he will blame ABD as well as if his Joke of Kaptaan lit IPL this year for his franchise

Youngsters suddenly start performing pathetically under him maybe they do it on purpose, they don't want to play for national side but but but they perform on  A tours ,u23s ,IPL consistently but will fail every damn time they play for national side, even GOATs hold grudge against him, they all fail on purpose

He win all those bilateral series against all teams both home and away , but they are dismissed as nothing. Except England he has beaten every team both home and away in odis as a captain. Shastri who needs to go has won everything else in odis except world cup. But he is Kohli's chamcha and no good. So who is good , Duncan fletcher under whom team did not even compete.

Since, long back, as soon as Kohli took reins, i was probably first among icfers to comment that Kohli is klueless kaptaan. He will never win anything.
My this estimate was on 2 basic observations

1. his onfield captaincy and how he totally telied on Dhoni for field placing and bowling changes.  You have to be in ground during Thala days  to witness it and understand what I am saying

2. He has not got enough desire to win trophy. You don’t loose to archrival Pakistanis in a final with best team of tournament just because you don’t like your coach. The actions on that day sent a strong message in dressing room that Kohli is Captain of different kind comparable to Defining movement like the one Dhoni Bell moment.
Its a shame that despite seeing his true colors we kept a blind eye just because our press needed our own Beckam Victoria combo.

How can he have settled players when players who were given chances did not perform. He is a coach not a miracle maker.

Instead of building a team for the future You give chances to have beens like jhadav, rahane, rayudu. claim  rayudu is no. 4, then drop him after a bad series.

Then end up sending Vijay Shankar, & Pant with little ODI experience into the WC squad. The problem was team was built for the past, most of the youngsters  who ended up in the team didn’t have enough ODI experience to be in a WC squad.

Can you please point out to one moment in the last two matches where the Indian bowling/fielding unit had a plan?

it looked like every bowler was doing their own thing. Yes the pitch was flat, & seam ups are getting trashed. So what’s plan B? Even after hardik successfully tried some variations no one seems to have taken the cue. The fielding was below par, Virat himself was misfielding. He has been a captain of WC squad & not a rookie, but he just let the game slip away.

Kohli is not captaincy material.

The captain has to build team for future. I dont think he has developed players properly.

Iyer - 20

Pant- 16

Shaw - 3

Gill - 2

Shankar - 12

Dube - 1

Saini - 7

The number of games played by those who Kohli thinks are future players is just 61.  It is far too less. India plays atleast 12 ODI's every year and there are 11 spots. Player development does not happens by opening so few spots in years. The strategy is clearly not to build the next team. The seniors should have been rested more often in bilaterals

Secondly, he is very very late in his moves, when the other captains have played the same moves more than couple of years back. He has now used his authority and power to ask Agarwal to bowl. Why didn't he ask Iyer or Agarwal to bowl before. He should have made them bowl atleast one or two overs per match in matches they have played. You don't react so late as a captain.

He lacks to design strategic plans, let alone implement them.

Dhoni is also to blame. If he had retired when he flopped, then one spot would have been used to play a youngster in all matches. Kohli is wholly responsible for not sacking Dhoni from team. He kept backing seniors and thereby resulting in situation that is today

Exactly! Kept playing oldies & never developed any new talent.

Dhoni was at least street smart, he would make inspired bowling changes with part timers & field placements. Kohli seems to have forgotten how to use/develop part timers. If you aren’t blessed with yuvis & Raina’s, they need to develop one. Batsmen who can bowl need to be encouraged to bowl more in the nets & given chances in matches.

If your strike bowlers do well , awesome! But if things don’t go as per plan we just seem to go with the flow. Here is no plan B.

Again kohli and Shastri proving their worth as a combo by ringng all the changes. Only fools think winning percentage over 70 is bad. They have done an excellent job making this team compete in all conditions even without multi dimensional players.

India is not England people need to get that out of their mind, They don't have that depth of multi dimensional players.

Are they not allowed to lose a series, Shastri and Kohli have lost  3 or 4 bilateral odi series in 3 years.Do they have win every series to be worth something.Which Indian coach and captain have won bilateral Odi series everywhere.

They are. But not winning a single meaningful tournamanet is not allowed. With all the money and resources BCCI has spend they have nothing to show for. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Cipher. Zero. (maybe ghanta would be a better choice)

Kohli PR speaks. But propaganda never works vs data.

Under Fletcher, despite being hobbled by a hopeless captain who had become arrogant after the 2011 WC win, between April 2011 and March 2015, we had the best W/L ratio in the world 64/35 in 107 matches, won 8 consecutive bilateral series (which were NOT great achievements ), won a CT and reached the WC semi but missed the big prize which was rightfully seen as a failure and he was not continued.  OTOH Kohli-Shastri have laid eggs after eggs in ICC tournaments and focussed on winning meaningless bilaterals and celebrating WC semis as a big achievement.

Under Fletcher Rohit, Dhawan, Shami, Ashwin, Jadeja, Rahane were all properly groomed. Kohli-Shastri are BIG FAT ZERO when it comes to grooming talent and get their PR gang to abuse our youngsters as they can't criticise lacklustre leadership.

In any case the Fletcher era was not the best for us with the captain losing interest in away tests and Fletcher hanging on despite being toothless. The fact that you use that for your comparison tells you the benchmark you have for VeeRat-Shastri era.
