he has been a very important bowler for India. Underrated because ever since he started bowling tight  overs in the PP, India started this  winning streak  in T20. I am not saying he is the only reason but he has been an important part. Needs to improve his batting though but not a power hitter, more of a timer.

I don't think he is any good with bat and position he bats, you need power hitters.

Yeah Virat had nothing to do with today's loss here. its this kind of attitude that loses games for India

Did I say Kohli did not have anything to do today's loss. What has Kohli got to do with moronic batting of Samson.

Then you would expect them to play him ahead of Sundar who cannot hit at all ?

Dunno, we played two spinners on the greenest of tracks at Lord's two years back & 4 WK in the WC semis. If there was an award for the dumbest *wits out there Brat would win it hands down, every time all the time without fail :partyall:

His bowling has been good so far, but its not good enough to be picked purely based on that ..I think Sundar is a better ODI prospect were he will be can play a role with the bat higher up the order , definitely not a 5-6-7 batsmen

Kohli again showing , he simply does not have the top gear needed to overcome his slow starts.

He did, he no longer does. He isnt the player he was. Its a very selfish brand of cricket that he plays. Just two FOURS from overs 7 to 15 is what cost India tonight.

RRR was 10 and India's run rate was 8 after 9 overs. And the top order had the PP to get the reqd rate down.

both pant and samson ,play very simmilaly in lois so far.

much improvement needed

Both Supreme talents getting wasted. With samson though, it's expected. Even his domestic stats are sub par. Shows lack of consistency. Even in ipl he rarely performs in more than 4 matches per season.

The wonderful PP at 8 RPO and 50(41) by the world's best ever chaser main reasons for the loss

PP was actually pretty good for a change.

55/1 after 6 - 9 rpo

He did, he no longer does.

He never had a sixth gear like peak SRT or anything close to RGS, Yuvraj even Dhoni. What he did better though was not get out & strike crucial boundaries against all sorts of bowlers, it's the same reason why he's played 3 WCs & did * all in the KOs - because he plays it way too safe!

Look India will improve and will have a better team for the World Cup next year, but we need to remove some players from this team.

Dhawan, Samson and Iyer are just not up to it.  Neither is Pandey.

He just needs to look at Hitman in ODI's once he crosses 100, the gears are incredible, goes right through them. 100 to 150 then 150 and beyond.
