Averages 46+ away from home in this period. It is probably the best after Kohli and Pujara. He scored 81 in one the 2 tests he played in Australia last time and followed it with a 58 in tough batting conditions in the WI. Playing Jadeja over Rahul, won't be a compromise on the batting front ... especially because he is an attacking left hander too. sandeep, Mosher and Cricspin 1 2

Siraj looks a decent prospect. Jadeja has improved with the bat. Cant imagine the kind of pressure Gill will be under, considering his debut in a Boxing day game at MCG that too as an opener after India getting bowled out for lowest score. Tough rite of passage for the kid.
