But it is concerning that someone with his limited skill set has been at the top of domestic run charts as illustrates that the standard at domestic level is not up to much. Of equal concern is that there appear to be no young test level batters coming through, cupboard looks pretty bare. we can’t put it all on domestics. He performed in A games as well. Some people just don’t have the “it” factor to take their game to the next level. Link to comment

Frustrated
Tells how pathetic our domestic level is. Sh**ty players like him (with no match awareness either) hv become run machine in domestic. express bowling 1 Link to comment
Soldier
Our domestic system is very very good. However some players just don't have the it factor to excel overseas. Select good stroke makers for overseas. Vihari style won't work in Sena. Hopefully he shows some steel when he bats later tomorrow. Link to comment

It’s simple the guy has been topping run charts and cashing every opportunity he gets in A games etc- Got a well earned opportunity. He got a fair run. In fact I will argue that he got more tests because he only plays overseas. He wouldn’t get a run of 12 tests had he played mostly at home. So team management is alright here. Now if he gets dropped, he shouldn’t feel hard done by. If he complains then Pile on the hate If he goes back to domestics, I think that will be it for him unless he reinvents his LOI game somehow. It is what it is, Someone earned their shot and couldn’t carry the ball. you are reading too much into it either on purpose or accidentally, that’s for you to figure it out. I just said that those who are still supporting him don't have any valid reasons for it. Nothing else. He deserved his chances but should have been kicked out after that 1 st test or at max 2nd Edited January 10, 2021 by Adamant Link to comment
Sgattick10
Another avg batter, below avg fielder. Stats are not everything.. Selectors need to watch regular Ranji matches to select players.. Just don't go by stats. express bowling 1 Link to comment
Gollum
The catch that he dropped, it travelled so slowly, at a comfy height, full view, yet hit him on the wrist. Early in the day so fatigue can be ruled out, had it bounced off his palm you could say 'hard hands'. But the fact that he was nowhere near catching it tells me either he has eyesight problem or very poor hand-eye coordination. No wonder he is so late against the pace of this Aus trio. dilliboy
Do or die for him tomorrow... If he can bat and take the match till the last session, he might have another chance in the next test. Tough situation for him but he has to produce something substantial now Link to comment
vaul
Vihari also dropped a simple catch of Green at second slip in first practice match.Green capitalised to score century. Link to comment

Don't think he has hard hands given the skill set behind his selection. Probably tired after all those late night massages he has to provide. asterix 1 Link to comment
neel roy
If India decides to play 7 batsmen , Vihari will walk anyways into the 4th test with ease as he can bowl 10 overs and that is his one usp. Anyways with injuries Shaw would have been the only other option.. Link to comment
Lone Wolf
Last chance for Vihari perhaps... If he fails then Rohit Gill Pujara Shaw Rahane Mayank Saha/Pant This can be the lineup.. Albeit a makeshift but will work wonderfully on a fast scoring Gabba pitch. Shaw at no 4 can work as well. Link to comment
Khota
This should be his last inning. Link to comment
kubrickian
He never had the opportunity to play tests at home and score some centuries and cement his place. It always seemed like he was fighting for his place, and not having a settled position means more pressure. Fair enough, he had his chances and couldnt make the most of it. But to dismiss him as a no talent is a bit harsh. He had scored 4 fifties and a century, so he has potential. Just seems like he lacks confidence. KL Rahul should probably play Eng tests and if he cant recover from injury, think Vihari deserves a go. Link to comment
express bowling
With Jadeja injured, Vihari is almost sure to play in the 4th test as the 5th bowler. Ankit_sharma03 1 Link to comment
