All valid points. But it is concerning that someone with his limited skill set has been at the top of domestic run charts as illustrates that the standard at domestic level is not up to much.

Of equal concern is that there appear to be no young test level batters coming through, cupboard looks pretty bare.

we can’t put it all on domestics. He performed in A games as well. Some people just don’t have the “it” factor to take their game to the next level.

or on the flip side people are hating on him because he is not a flashy superstar IPL tailunt or neither is he a “yo bro” type dude and may  be don’t that’s why we don’t have the same Patience or tolerance for him.

It’s  simple the guy has been topping run charts and cashing every opportunity he gets in A games etc- Got a well earned opportunity.

He got a fair run. In fact I will argue that he got more tests because he only plays overseas. He wouldn’t get a run of 12 tests had he played mostly at home. So team management is alright here.

Now if he gets dropped, he shouldn’t feel hard done by.

If he complains then Pile on the hate

If he goes back to domestics, I think that will be it for him unless he reinvents his LOI game somehow.

It is what it is, Someone earned their shot and couldn’t carry the ball.

you are reading too much into it either on purpose or accidentally, that’s for you to figure it out.

I just said that those who are still supporting him don't have any valid reasons for it.

Nothing else.

He deserved his chances but should have been kicked out after that 1 st test or at max 2nd

The catch that he dropped, it travelled so slowly, at a comfy height, full view, yet hit him on the wrist. Early in the day so fatigue can be ruled out, had it bounced off his palm you could say 'hard hands'. But the fact that he was nowhere near catching it tells me either he has eyesight problem or very poor hand-eye coordination. No wonder he is so late against the pace of this Aus trio.

Don't think he has hard hands given the skill set behind his selection.

Probably tired after all those late night massages he has to provide.

He never had the opportunity to play tests at home and score some centuries and cement his place. It always seemed like he was fighting for his place, and not having a settled position means more pressure. Fair enough, he had his chances and couldnt make the most of it. But to dismiss him as a no talent is a bit harsh. He had scored 4 fifties and a century, so he has potential. Just seems like he lacks confidence. KL Rahul should probably play Eng tests and if he cant recover from injury, think Vihari deserves a go.
