Tyagi cannot play as the 3rd pacer.

But he can play as the 4th pacer.

He has a tremendous bouncer and good quick yorker. Plus he is taller than all our other pacers.

Bring him for short spells and tell him to bowls 4 to 5 bouncers / rising balls at the throat ... And slip in a couple of fuller balls at the stumps.

Keep a field for this type of bowling.

He will surely pick a few wickets at the Gabba.

He will surprise the Aussies and provide variety to the line and length stuff of Siraj and Shardul

Tyagi in as 3rd pacer. no need for trundlers on a spicy gabba wicket. If not tyagi, go with kuldeep

Kuldeep is 5 foot 4. How is he supposed to extract bounce?

Bounce for spinners is a different concept when compared to pacers. When the ball spins, lands on the seam and bounces, it's all stars for any batsman.

That's why Kuldeep should play. He should be able to extract bounce and other than Smith, others might struggle. Natarajan may not have the impact as he won't be able to trouble batsman with short balls given his pace.

Why are people underselling Natarajan so much? His domestic stats are even better than Siani

Is Tyagi there? If he is there it's not even a question. He should play ahead of Shardul and Natarajan.

Nobody is underselling Natarajan. Strength of the Saini and him are different. Needs to be seen whom the team management feels more effective in Gabba.

I think Rahane will pick the best possible XI..  His selections have been bang on in both tests he lead.  In my view in absence of Bumrah we have to play Kuldeep to even compete in Gabba.

Tyagi looks quite fast.

Warne has worked with Tyagi during his RR stint. And he said that Tyagi has serious pace.

During the IPL, Tyagi was often bowling 138 k to 148 k spells. He bowled an entire over of accurate yorkers and attempted yorkers to ABDV at 144 k to 146 k.

Bounce for a spinner is about the trajectory and the amount of over spin they can put on the ball. Height is not as important as it is for fast bowler

Playing multiple formats is never good for a fast bowler unless they are extremely durable and they have highly efficient bowling actions.

IPL before big SENA tours has always damaged our chances

. England 2018 and now.

Do we have any test quality bowlers left. They will have to play natarajan or Thakur now. Appalling decision-making all round

Height is always a factor
