Champions return back to their home

Awesome!  They deserve every bit of adulation they get.

A couple of days of this and then it's time to peel away from the adulation and distractions, especially from the press.  Hope they have been mentored over and over again that the same press that is putting them on a pedestal today will roast them after a couple of struggles.

There is an analogy from American college football (CFB).  Very frequently, the guy who wins the Heisman trophy (best player in CFB) belongs to one of the teams that plays in the playoff games (SF and F).  The Heisman is given a week or two before the playoffs and these guys are pulled in a 100 different directions.  Ceremonies, celebrations, press conferences, sponsorship dealers ... etc etc.  And typically, the Heisman winner will have a letdown in the playoffs - after all he is 20-22 yrs old and it is hard to stay focused with the whole world wanting a piece of you.

These guys - especially the young crown-prince types - Siraj, Sundar, Gill - are going to have to work hard to stay focused or have some family members buffer them from the outside world.  This young team has shown how well they can handle adversity.  Now, can they handle success?

PS: This is the time they need a Kumble and not a Shastri
