Riding on the highs of Aussie win, is India going to be eager to surrender its home advantage against Englanf by preparing pitches where our spinners will fail ?

What is the meaning of 'English look', this Chennai curator keeps barking those words, wtf does he want to say? Never heard Lord's pitch with Indian look or Cape Town pitch with Galle look. BCCI couldn't find someone better to do this job?

Apparently they couldn't. The guy didn't even prepare for a FC match before lol. He runs a textile factory as primary job

In the first week of 2021, V Ramesh Kumar got a call from the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA). He was asked to take charge as the curator for the first two Tests of the England series. Ramesh was taken by complete "surprise". He had never prepared a pitch for even a first-class match. In less than a month Ramesh now had to get Chepauk, as the MA Chidambaram Stadium is popularly known, ready to host two Test matches

NhA. We should aim to what them in their own crappy pitches. We just need to start playing them with the same intensity we display vs Australia. That's all.

That doesn't change anything. Indian pacers should outbowl the Sena pacers on doctered pitches so they will not take such risks again. (And our panautis should also win some tosses ffs)

After the 2006 tour to SA when sreeshanth scared saffers by running through their lineup, SA prepared good pitches in subsequent tour. After pune debacle when Steve O'Keefe ran through ours, we didn't prepare another rank turner since. Defeating is the best way to stop home teams from preparing awful pitches next time. Wish we played a good swing bowler in NZ and won a match so they won't pull it again

2 different issues.

I want the Indian media to point out that NZ and England prepare doctored pitches to suit their needs too. They aren't all that sporting.

Additionally we should win on such doctored pitches to establish our dominance.

Doing both are important.

What about D/N tests? Don't you think it plays to the advantage of teams like Aus, Eng, NZ?

NZ is coming for a 2 test series later this year, hope we don't give them any chance of competing, shut those *ers out from ball one. After the pitches they served last year, need some payback. Still annoys me that after the trash they served in 2002 (and the likes of Fleming throwing shade at our batsmen), we welcomed them with pattas in 2004, they escaped with 0-0. They deserved nothing less than 2004 Wankhede type akharas back then.

Don't want a D/N test in India against NZ.

Short series of 2 tests.

We should stick to our strengths and shut them out completely.

To be fair, SA players have called some of their home pitches 'sub-continent' like during our recent tours.

On the Chennai curator, like others have said, it could just to be an exaggeration to show he's neutral. Chennai has always been a balanced pitch (only for CSK they prepared slow sluggish tracks).

Our own batsmen are not comfortable playing on dustbowls. Look at what happened in Pune in 2017. We were bowled out for 105 and 107. Freaking Steve O'Keefe took 12 wickets and hasn't played a Test since 2017.

And this is the point I was making.

The usual HTB/FTB stuff, how we shouldn't complain about the pitches etc. Don't remember completely but him and that opener Richardson did get lippy.

I remember when Faf said something about our Joburg win sometime ago..  The wan*r said he didn't played his full strength bowling attack lol..  Rabada Philander & Lungi were all playing.  Excuses galore.  I just hope we thrash them this year badly & end a few careers.

Lol we dint have full strength attack. Now our bowling has depth with extra quality spinner plus class ATG level pace attack.

Stop whinging faf. Phainta still ringing in his ears though I guess.

Man India went easy on them at that time. We gave them complete Pattas.

2000 era we had better players of spin and swing due to county exposure etc.

2015 era we have better players of pace bounce and seam.

The Phainta he received vs us at home in 2019 was so severe that dude was crying about tosses & he didn't have turning pitches excuse to fall back on especially after Pollock said pitches were similar to Centurion.

Saffers are biggest sissies of the lot..  Even their fans bashed Harsha on Twitter  when he said their Talent pool is getting smaller recently.

If we do win in England..  I won't mind Shastri saying the Aussie way that they will end a few careers in SA..  They need to be taught a lesson.

Lol at dustbowls.  Those times are long gone.

India prepare fair pitches that are not too spin friendly nor pace friendly.

We are going to absolutely humiliate England if umesh shami are back soon. Even without them we will win 2 0.

Just add Jaddu and even without these 2 we would have decimated them. Jaddu is gold in these conditions.

Traditionally the Chepauk pitch has worn a bald look. However this time around it has been lush green across the square and the outfield.

"There is no open spot. The outfield has a soft bed and is lush green," Ramesh says

Ramesh is confident about what could be in store in the next two weeks. "We are working to get a sporting wicket," he says. "It will be a typical Chepauk pitch with English look. It will work for all three departments. It will be a keen contest between bat and ball. First day, there will be something for the fast bowlers. Second and third days will favour batsmen. Fourth day onwards there will be wear and tear and support the spinners."

The groundsmen are working on two different types of pitch with varying soil profiles. One is purely red soil, but its character is different to the red soil at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which generally provides bounce and assistance to all bowlers. The red soil in Chennai, on the other hand, can become flat quickly once rolled. This is one reason - at the moment - the pitch will have a greenish cover on the first day. The second pitch has a mixed profile: a base with the local red soil of about three inches with a top layer comprising black clay. A final decision on which pitch will host the first Test will be made in the days leading up to the match.

Someone should slap that guy for saying an English look lmao. We are India. We don't need to suck up to anyone. I despise such obsequvious behaviour. Just play to our strengths. Period.

Don't worry about what the curator says.

Yeh naya Hindustan hai, ghar mein ghus ke maarega aur ghar mein invite kar ke peetega bhi. Englund lose 4-0.
