No fan of CSK, Srini or Dhoni but credit to them for this gesture. Maybe too early but this could be beginning of  a future role for ChePu as the batting mentor/ coach of CSK and then later a full fledged coaching career.

 I  will  stick with teams from the west -> Wolves (MI) and the wild wild west (RR) + any future team

 

PS but if Che is playing, maybe can do that when CSK plays other teams

On a side note, Che does not need the $s so may be just a satisfaction of not being left out ... as the champion batsman in tests, would have preferred if he played county instead like he tends to do

Pujara has a solid game. It would be funny if he does well  also scary what that will do to his test game.

he wouldn’t have put his name in the auction if he preferred that

 

Happy for him though. Hopefully he is picked because he is part of a team plan/strategy and not for pure emotional reasons. That would be unfair on some domestic players who played the SMAT and performed.

I meant I would have preferred ... Che is probably doing it for the satisfaction of not being left out ... but on turning tracks (like they can have in Chennai), he can be among the top performers

I was hoping he'd get a county stint but he hasn't done well there so doesn't matter.

Seems wildly unsuited to T20 cricket with batting approach and is so slow on the field.

 

Will probably be Dhoni's butler or water carrier at best.

Hope he gets the games. My younger cousins don't watch tests and don't understand why I hype him so much. Would love to see him pick up fans in other formats too
