Did we witness the greatest daylight robbery this series?

How did Rohit not get a single MOTM or get MOTS?

Lets breakdown his performance:

Second test: 161 & 26. That 161 was half the teams runs on a mine field. Most reasonably minded people recognised it was worth equivalent to 250 runs and closed the game out for England as they could never get past his first innings score.

Third test: 66 & 25*. Wicket which no one could play and the famed Indian batting lineup collapsed along with the English one. Most reasonably minded people recognised his first innings knock was worth 200 at least. In the end he averaged 91 on an impossible wicket.

Fourth test: 49. Words can hardly describe how valuable this knock was. Worth at least 100 runs to the team and without it we could have been 100/6 and easily folded as our prospects would have been more daunting.

Morally he has got over 619 runs this series averaging 103. Why do the authorities keep robbing him?

But Ashwin scored 400 runs morally and took 30 wickets.

Pitches were too spin friendly making Axar look like the reincarnation of Lohmann and Barnes. Morally he took just 15 wkts :dontknow:

Biggest daylight robbery in my opinion ( not in tests) was Natrajan not getting MOS for the t20 series in Australia where in all matches he took wickets and have economy rate was 6.5. Instead Pandya got it for just one innings

Ashwins wickets are overvalued by the friendliness of the pitches and runs overvalued by the circumstances in which they were achieved

We would have still won the second test if Ashwin got a duck instead of a 100, so it should be disregarded in motm/mots calculations
