no need for bumrah in home tests as well. we should use him in SENA and that too not in high-pressure matches.

dunno about rohit as captain, but he is a certified choker as a batter. just get any rando left-arm bowler to bowl against rohit in a KO and he will be back in the pavilion faster than you can say "bob's your uncle"

Nha against big trams at home he can be good cause he loves going full tilt at home.

@express bowling @Mosher  Ian Bishop about Umran...  Whatta legend

Bishop and Steyn are legends. They understand and love fast bowling. Umran and Tyagi are lucky to have Steyn with them. RR also has Steffan Jones another guy who has the similar views on fast bowling.

Mavi has Bill Bharat Arunberg as coach who was quite proud about our pace bowling ,why Mavi chose the easy and mediocre way of bowling ie trundling?

Man I missed this interview :((

Damn. Steyn living through ummiee.

Pakistan is seething right about now.

Lol even their bowling superiority in so called phasst bowling has been thwarted and put to a permanent halt. Since 2005 india has produced far better bowlers and far better bowling attack overall.

Infact Indian does have the goat Asian pace attack in tests. Even in LOI I would not be surprised if our string bowlers out perform porks.

Because he is physically weak. Atleast develop batting to compensate is all I am saying if you are going to be a trundler with swing/bounce.

I may be wrong, but sometimes I feel that the place you belong to plays a big role in setting up your goals.
When BK started his career, everyone was comparing him with Praveen Kumar due to the swing he generates.
Same happenend with Mavi as well, being from Meerut, people compared him with Bhuvi for his swing. He probably would have thought to become like him and decided to get more swing at the cost of pace.

Nagarkoti has suffered more injuries than Mavi, but still he has the heart to bowl 140-145k. Mavi is barely touching 140 these days.

Umran tangling Russell was the highlight yesterday

He bowled Iyer with a yorker , didn't amaze me tbh as Iyer is pure mediocre against high pace anyway,

On a side note-Shreyas Iyer shouldn't be considered for t20s at all and absolutely not be taken to Australia t20 WC

If only Mavi listened to it what the modern fast bowling legend says

Had Mavi bowled with same intensity ,he was so gifted

Someone from KKR need to drill this into Mavi. Back your strength. Bowling 135 won't do him any good. He used to be a mean machine in his first two IPL.

He is physically much stronger than Umran. Umran looks much more fragile physically.

Guy was bowling at 148-149 with real fizz & bounce vs AUS A around 2018 itself. What a disappointment . Its not that he had career ending injury like Nagarkoti.

Being gym strong is not equal to strong. You need to be have functional strengths umran has way better functional strength. Mavi might be stronger in shitty lifts like bench press and curls etc. But umran is far better at applying his strength from a functional perspective.

He too had back stress fracture injury at the same time as Nagarkoti and since then he reduced his pace. Suffered injury during IPL 2019. Came back late in IPL 2020 in UAE. He was out of cricket for almost more  than a year. Missed 2019-20 domestic season.

Would appreciate if CSK gives Hangargekar some chances to show his talent.. He may not be a world breaker this year, but i see him as a long term investment, even if he has a game or two good, at least he will go back to be a regular in Maharashtra squad, cutting past the seniors in domestic is only possible if you play good against the best as in IPL..

Steyn is looking after Umran and Tyagi.

Steffan Jones is aiding Prasidh and Sen.

That's 4 of our best upcoming quicks.

These youngsters must learn as much as possible from these two gentlemen in the next 45 days.

Prasidh is getting back his pace too ... hope he does not slip back to fast-medium.

Cricketers from countries which have produced good fast bowlers historically ( and have been top Teams as s result of this )  have this passion for fast bowling and fast bowlers. They see extra pace and bounce and they get excited. Steyn and Bishop are very good examples.

Good fast bowling is a means to achieve the end of winning ... but it is a very exciting means. One can win a match by a walkover or DL Method in a rained out match ... but actually thumping a top opposition in a match is the most exciting way of winning. Using fast bowling to win is a similar thing. It gives a rare adrenaline rush !   It's super thrilling  !

I remember how excited Warne was when Bumrah was bowling that amazing, skilful and fast spell at the Oval. He kept on saying that he is executing such amazing skills with almost every ball at around 90 mph. He could not hold back his excitement.

While most top batters' discussions about their past seem to revolve around how they tackled a genuine fast bowler or could not  ... and the associated fear and discomfort. This is the aspect that seems to affect them psychologically

Fast bowling lovers forget the country of origin of the bowler and just live the excitement of display of raw speed and power with skills.

I was so overjoyed when I found a few genuine fast bowling lovers on this forum. Co-Indians who got as much thrilled by quick bowling as I always got. @Mosher, @Suhaan, @rkt.india, @vishalvirsingh, @Vilander, @Rightarmfast, @MultiB48, @Malcolm Merlyn and a few others are the relative old timers who had and have this passion for fast bowling.  Then came you @Lone Wolf, @Vijy, @rollingstoned, @sarchasm, @prudent_kreeda,@raki05@Jay@singhvivek141

Now we have a pool of developed quick bowlers bowling 145 k+ or 140 k+ and winning us big test series away from home and tearaway quicks bowling 150 k+ or 145 k+.  The first part of our journey to develop us as a fast bowling nation is near completion ... building up from the despairing days of short medium pacers floating the ball up gently.  Now starts the most interesting part. And the IPL has played a big part in this journey too.

Let's enjoy the ride together now !  Let the passion for fast bowling grow and expand !

It's so good that super passionate fast bowlers like Steyn and Jones are taking part in the development of our young quicks.

Cheers bro !

Forever fast bowling enthusiast. I am a fast bowler myself. Well compared to international cricketers I am a phasst trundler like abbas but I love fast bowling.

Would rather lose in a bowling shoot out with fast bowlers wreaking havoc and causing pain damage etc over losing with trundlers.
