i feel the same. want to break their jaws and lay them out flat like door mat when they spout such rubbish. barely any parents in india would even encourage their kids to play cricket unless they have rich pompous parents. most pblic schools dont even have a proper system in place. 

average indian can never even dream of playing ckub cricket. far too expensive.

With a super star test batting- our best of all time - the fab 5 etc..we never won in Australia.

 

No team for 35 odd years beat Aus in Gabba - and there have been some damn good teams who played at gabba.

 

if you watched the gabba test match - the Aussie bowling was nasty -nasty as hell.

 

When you say "weakest" - you merely mean lacking "superstars".....superstars don't mean much if results don't add up.

That's definitely a great batting unit. Gill just doesn't have a name yet. Kohli and ouji ar ATGa and pant is almost there already. He is a better matchwinner than any of our overrated predecessors. 

 

Our bowling attack overall is the best in the world. Not to mention we have batting depth with the addition of Sundar who has better technique vs pace and spin than many of our overrated greats too. Vihari is another underrated player with height ceiling.

Fact is, 1.5 billion population doing this well isn’t a magnificent achievement, it’s parity (maybe even below). Just India heavily under achieved for so many years and so current stock seems amazing but it’s not when you really think about it.

And that’s the point, too much poverty and so the nation is not fulfilling its fullest potential. Don’t see an inferiority complex in that, just good suggestions (unless personal pride/bragging rights is more important than the plight of so many of your countrymen).

Same applies to Bangladesh and Pakistan who have huge cricket loving populations to select from. It’s a joke that these three countries aren’t head and shoulders above the rest and the likes of formerly West Indies and currently England, South Africa and Australia can compete.

Nope population is surely an asset to have but it doesn't necessarily means we can extract untapped talent out there instantly.  Surely Talent is there but there is simply not many means to exploit it.  It's only in last decade we are seeing some great source of talent being unearthed from smaller cities...  Cricket is still a elite man's sport.  There is genuine lack of facility still in our country.  That's improving but these goras think each n every single Indian is out there to play cricket..  People don't have money to feed ourselves here & these guys are talking about cricket.  At least these Poms have better facilities while growing up...  Aussies have big backyards to play cricket & other sports & are rightfully so a sporty nation..  While most Indians have none of that. 

 

However that being said even if we smartly use our resources there is no reason why we can't dominate.  Pakistan will remain a mediocre bunch coz of unstability there.. & religious extremism on a All time High.  Bangladesh is a booming economy but f** poor & overpopulated.
