Irrespective of result they hve been sending- Sundar, Shahbaz, Patidar at 3......this is a good thing .

Its not easy for anyone to come n start slogging batting at 6-7

But not persisting with anyone of them

Wo kohli ki team hai mat bhulo...atleast try kar rhe hai wahi bahut. They can have all great idea but kohli lacks peristence with anyone.  TBH u cant persist with sundar or shahabaz at 3 for long. Its shud be experimental only keeping opposition bowlers n batsman strength in mind. Among them only rajat is a proper batsman but he has looked overodd with the occasion. But still its better then coming in tough situation which can be handled better by experienced ab n maxi

He should at 3, nothing like this happens in other teams because they don’t have a dumb captain who is hell bent on opening which he can’t

One more thing - he’s trying Indian bowlers at the death over overseas ones - last match he preferred Siraj over Richardson (who had bowled a pretty good over before) and today persisted with Siraj at the death again when he could have easily bowled out Jamieson

i like him , i think he is much suited for 5-6 but yea throw him at 3 in one game like RR use to do with Yusuf . He can be a gamechanger , always liked the idea of sending someone with that kind of game at 3 on some occasions- samad, suyyash on days can change the game at 3 and opposition wont be prepared for it.

Sending likes of Patidar, Sundar, Shahbaz ahead of likes of ABDV and Maxwell is shear stupidity.

He always bats ABDV very low when he should be batting him in the top 3. If ABDV can get 15-20 overs, it is going to be a nightmare for the bowlers. In all these years of captaining RCB and never winning the IPL, he doesn't even realize the mistakes he has made.

I'm sure CSK quite appreciated this benevolent gesture.

According to Watson, RCB has a very corporate and cut-throat environment

RCB did had that and thats why they struggled for yrs, actually he was being nice....RCB had no culture . Just top guys were secure rest no one had a clue

Now with hesson their at-least seems to be an effort

If there is science behind these decisions it is fine, it is stupid just to promote someone for the sake of it. You win the game first with your best players. That’s about it.

I agree. In IPL 2016, AB batted at 3 and he scored 680 runs at strike rate of 150. While in most cases, the guys with 600+ runs do stats padding only by scoring at 130-135 S/R.

You watch TGC podcast as well?

It was clear Watson liked RR and CSK much more. He described them as family atmospheres.
