i can see a spate of new users with tell tale posting style. Its funny that there are individuals who want to 'score' in this environment, somehow they feel Indians who are facing this pandemic can be swayed politically that too from a external to India point of view,  what sorry individuals are these ?

According to the west India and the so called 3rd world is only news worthy when there is fear and poverty porn to show. There was 0 coverage of the vaccines that the govt gave to pretty much all countries when it looked like India had beaten the worst of Covid.

 

Thankfully we now have channels like Wion that are truly good and professional. I would encourage folks to watch Wion for some good unbiased coverage. 

 

Anyways it's party time for all those who despise India and the current govt of India. To be honest I would be glad if the news channels can investigate all the vultures who are giving ppl glucose injections in the name of vaccines, extorting Covid patients and downright murdering ppl in these times. Noone wants to do that though unfortunately. All these bullshit news channels are just cashing in on the fear porn that is rampant now.

Nepal is seeing surge and I think its starting get overwhelmed if they haven't went into lockdown it will pretty similar to India I guess  . Bangladesh is in lockdown since April 5th I believe so they have it under control their test will come when  ease the lockdown. Not so sure on Pakistan

I am almost happy that they don't have their own crazy spikes esp Nepal and BD that have porus borders with India.

Actually, whole world came in Support of India. EU and US themselves were not ready to share anything among them. They didn’t change rules for Latin America or Africa. But for India, every advanced nation or poor nation came including Muslim states like UAE and even China and Turkey offered support.

 

So, I am thankful to their gesture and proud of our Karma. Somewhere world knows, Indians are decent people

It's called basic human decency. I don't know what rock you were living under, but plenty of other countries also got help from across the world. Even india sent aid to other countries last year when covid was under control here. I can't believe the generosity and kindness of human nature is feeding your superiority complex, even in this situation

Stop libdu moral lecture. World is not as Chewt as you claim here else people wouldn’t be dieing in most places where infact civil wars are being manufactured by same world. We have soft power. No denying that. 
 

As a brown man in UKs white street, white men may assume I am not Indian but when they see their own doctor, they automatically assume they are very likely to see a Not white doctor and he must be Indian while Indians are just 2% of UK population. So why should i assume anything else

And? Countries sending aid to each other is part of diplomacy, India sent aid to Pakistan in the past. India is not the first country to receive aid

Lol, you choose not want to see the extra mile Government have gone, its ur judgement. For example, till Modi came to power officially India was pro Palestine. But Indians have sympathy with Israelis, Was GoI able to create Hizbul training hubs in India. No. Regimes of conutries try to do what they seem to be in national interest but also don’t do things which they can’t get away in front of their own people.

 

So US can ignore export ban and give patent waiver despite its Indusries taking financial hit but when weigh against local Americans sympathy, they chose not to.

 

And thats our karma too

Current govt has got it all wrong few months back and deserve all the criticism they are getting but just a reminded alternate were group of parties which purchased single toilet rolls for 1000rs.

I say this with no disrespect. Or maybe I dont has respect. Many Indians abroad are just angry and feel embarrassed with their foreign friend or colleagues. They have no understanding on the issues. They are not looking for ways to help. They are just reading nytimes and watching ABC news and feel gutted about no longer feeling good.  
 

Cry me a river. There is a real problem to attend. If you can be of some use, then do something. Knee jerk reactionary without any understanding of complexity and nuances doesn’t help.

hate is directed externally, meaning external reason for our failure and self is blameless, so no need to look inward and reform. That is what i am saying, when a society has hate it tends to deny responsibility for its own failures.

many have family and friends that are impacted on the ground and are living with a sense of absolute helplessness while they themselves are guilt drivingly safe from actual harm. I have friends and colleagues unable to continue work as they are too emotional, its unmitigated disaster for Indian community.

Indeed. I was one of them last year. Always helps to stop watching news media.  It’s fear porn. As bad as it looks, it is not nearly as bad as it could have been considering the inherent realities we are dealing with. Amidst stark realities and hard wired people and inefficient govts, this country is still going to pull through.
