A lab leak is more likely than virologists admit. Most virologists can't really publicly  acknowledge that a lab leak is likely...that would greatly reduce funding for future virology research.

The original virus - yes, there is enough smoke there.  VOCs, too?

How about this semi-facetious possibility?  Do you think some well-funded anti-vaxxer group did it and timed it perfectly to shake people's faith in vaccines forever?  I mean, this would be a perfect way of accomplishing their goal!  But then again, if that is the case, why didn't they time it better in the US, UK and Israel, but did so in India and Seychelles?

Well why India. Ok I guess Indian lives don’t matter as much. But I also think it is to derail global vaccination campaign which india was heading as the largest producer in the world. This combined with Chinese a

so celebrating the situation in India makes one wonder.

There is no such thing as covid 19, which is just like a mere cold and was a made-up infection that can kill no one and is just designed to bring fear to people, make hospitals rich and shut down economies so that big computer and big pharma could work together to make these things called vaccines that will help them control the world by causing depopulation via a highly lethal infection called covid 19.

If there is Covid-19 and it is killing people, why haven’t we ever heard of Covid-1 to 18? I’m starting to believe in the conspiracy. Also, mRNA sounds too close to “marna” which means “to die”. Coincidence? End of sarcasm.

Yes, there is.  First, this correlation did not happen in many countries.  Not US.  Not Israel.  In both cases, it is clear that vaccinated populations are doing much better that unvaccinated population in terms of serious Covid symptoms.  I've posted all kinds of data on this forum.  And not even UK:

Second, until there is evidence that corona spread in vaccinated populations is equal to or greater than in unvaccinated populations, there is no justification to say that vaccines are responsible for the Covid spread.

But the most important message:  For at least 2 weeks after 2nd dose, please take all precautions as before because body not ready.

Israel was vaccinated under lockdown so was UK, and EU too is under lockdown. The so called second wave coincided with vaccination program in various countries.

I don’t know anything about US.

Lockdown is for prevention and mitigation of the spread. Vaccination is for prevention as well. The second waves never killed as much in those countries that have vaccinated. Every country will continue to get multiple waves in the coming months and even years. The main fight now is to have high enough herd immunity(hopefully via vaccine) so that the medical care isn’t overwhelmed.

The US “second” wave was similarly worse because it started before vaccines were even used. Now, vaccination coverage has reached 50%, the rate has fallen down.

^ I am not talking about vaccine efficacy or second wave mortality rate. Or benefits of lockdown My main point is about coincidence between second wave and start of vaccination program in a  given country i.e.  vaccination start was immediately followed by massive Covid spread and countries reacted into lockdown

Most Indians can vouch that there was no Corona in Jan 2021

I have posted Seychelles context.  Unvaccinateds were leading case counts.  Vaccinateds were protected.

Gibraltar:

 https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2021/04/gibraltar-covid-vaccination-safe.html

After two months of more or less unrestricted life, one thing is clear: Vaccines do work. There have been no active cases among Gibraltarian residents for three weeks now. The COVID ward of St. Bernard’s Hospital has seen two hospitalizations and zero deaths since March 14. If anyone still needs convincing that vaccination is worth it, they won’t find a better case study than “Gib.” Forget about the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s about leaving the tunnel far behind.

I stayed in US for a decade, never got a flu shot, never had the flu. Explain that to those who got the shots. Every 6 months or so, they get the flu because of the shot and since the protection wears off after months, they need another one because a new strain has been found or the vaccine only lasts for a said period. The medical industry in the US is brutal and cutthroat. Same is coming to India now. Its like a windows update with new antivirus updates that will overload your system and is designed to crash at some point. @Jimmy Cliff how is my pc analogy since you mentioned gates :cantstop:

yeah flu shots got upgraded and expanded, i agree.. Covid shots i know several doctors who had their families avoiding flu shots but now this upcoming covid flu shots not so many, but some are stead fast and dont want vaccines - a guy who works in my team an older white gentleman, i was generally speaking with my team folks bhai chara to keep a tab on their mental health and this guy told me he will get the vaccine if he feels he needs it lol, most of younger lot in GTA are avid vaccine hunters on the other hand.

Vaccine protect the vaccinated , no one is questioning that. Question is being asked about what it does to  unvaccinated infiavidual not in lockdown open society.

I will take vaccine jab but i demand for a pill as annual lockdown is impossible.

My personal experience, Flu jab spreads the flu and gives even bigger flu to people who hasn’t got jab. I recall first year when people around me started taking the jab, that year, my flu was unbearable. Over period , my body started reacting better.

flu spreads because there is large scale snowbirds travel in western world.. between UK,Canada etc to Southern US, Australaia and vice versa.. seasonally and along with them the renewed strains of flu ( the other corona virus). covid19 SAR COV 2 will get added there eventually and will become endemic proably..

More n more I think about the present Indian condition, I start believing in conspiracy theories. Its unimaginable how quickly things turned around. It all starts at the backdrop of India china altercation thats taking place. India's stature was growing in the world and vaccine diplomacy was working. All of a sudden major cities Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai are collapsing..It is too good to be random occurrence. I think it is either a chinese conspiracy to destabilise India as they are the pioneers of Virus or Vaccination drive causing this second wave. There is no other explanation.

Ofcourse if you don't want to find people in power accountable, your mind will latch on to any idea that can put the blame elsewhere.

People in power aren't god or magicians.  There is no way anyone could expect devastation at such extent.

As counterintuitive as it sounds, the virus seems to thrive during March-September. My brother caught it last September and spent 18 days in hospital. He survived and came home but his heart got enlarged after the virus infection. He struggles with stair climbing and other mildly strenuous activity. He told me early in March that his Doctor warned him of a March-September wave similar to last year's. This was during the early stages of case number spike in Maharashtra. That being said, this level of severity and devastation is unanticipated, given scientists' claim of 50% herd Immunity.

What explains we had least cases during December, Jan and Feb...We just had few thousands case nationally? It is not seasonal like flu..It is  a lab made virus which can thrive in any weather conditions.

Your mind is so politically inclined that you have forgotten to think logically. No one would've prepared for such a devastating second wave, rulers are not gods to do some magic. But you can go on blaming Modi in social media if that gives you sound sleep.

There is no logical explanation whatsoever as to why cases went down in those months. The public's behavior was the same then as it is now. Maybe this thing is seasonal, maybe not. Or, whoever it was, was perfecting the recipe to unleash a new and more effective variant?
