Yes and just when it looked like most people in India won't even go for vaccination as cases completely plummeted. We wasted 44 million doses in 2 months as there were no takers.

Yes, this is a very, very convenient coincidence. With 10s of thousands of crores at stake, coincidences can be manufactured. At 1250 a pop for 1 dose, a family of 4 will shell out 10k for the full course of the vaccine. That's a lot of money. And after starting at 350 a pop, why has the rate shot up so much? Shopkeepers, street hawkers, daily laborers, maids, etc are being forced to lose their livelihood but the likes of Poonawala can't forgo windfall gains?

I was very critical of Indians who basically did not respond to vaccination. But now I am not sure anymore. If you have no fear of this disease, why will you go for vaccine ? Now, under fear, they are running for jabs.

As people weren't going for vaccines, R&D was left wasted. Millions wasted and suddenly everyone wants vaccines.

Good explanation but there are few misses..

 

Dr Bossche says by vaccinating in the heat of pandemic, when the immune escape happens, we're not allowing innate immunity to fight for you which is more adaptive than vaccine induced antibodies and vaccine induced antibodies may be suboptimal for immune escape variants.  Specially T-cell immunity which seems to be prevalent in population that successfully fight the virus. I read in todays TOI,  some survey conducted in bangalore slums by medical colleges,  where few people were infected in slims but asymptomatic. Only 20% had antibodies against virus ,  yet slums have not been heavily affected population, they dont follow any covid hygiene either. So T-cell immunity which is not explored as of now may be contributing to fight off the virus. 

Also he says new variant will emerge and new vaccines will be introduced  akin to flu shots. But what is the time line between new variants to emerge and introduction of new vaccines? Meanwhile can we prevent lockdowns/curfews if new variants are more deadlier than earlier variants? It is a good time to be living in west now, imagine giving booster shots to billion people in India which might take an year,and boom, we have new variants.

French and German YouTubers, bloggers and influencers have been offered money by a supposedly UK-based PR agency with apparent Russian connections to falsely tell their followers the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine is responsible for hundreds of deaths.

Fazze, an “influencer marketing platform … connecting bloggers and advertisers”, claimed to be based at 5 Percy Street in London but is not registered there. On Tuesday, it temporarily closed its website and made its Instagram account private.

 

The agency contacted several French health and science YouTubers last week and asked them, in poor English, to “explain … the death rate among the vaccinated with Pfizer is almost 3x higher than the vaccinated by AstraZeneca”.

The influencers were told to publish links on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok to reports in Le Monde, on Reddit and on the Ethical Hacker website about a leaked report containing data that supposedly substantiates the claim.

The article in Le Monde is about data reportedly stolen by Russian hackers from the European Medicines Agency and later published on the Dark Web. It contains no information on mortality rates. The pages on the other two sites have been deleted.

 

The influencers were asked to tell their subscribers that “the mainstream media ignores this theme”, and to ask: “Why some governments actively purchasing Pfizer vaccine, which is dangerous to the health of the people?”

The brief also included requests to “act like you have the passion and interest in this topic”, and to avoid using the words “advertising” or “sponsored” in posts or videos because “the material should be presented as your own independent view”.

Screen shots of the emails were posted on Twitter by Léo Grasset, a popular French science YouTuber with nearly 1.2m subscribers. Grasset said the campaign had a “colossal budget” but that the agency refused to identify its client.

The French investigative news site Numerama also published extracts from the exchanges, including Fazze’s exhortation to “encourage viewers to draw their own conclusions, take care of themselves and their loved ones”.

Mirko Drotschman, a German YouTuber and podcaster with 1.5 million subscribers, also posted a screenshot of an email asking him to take part in an “information campaign” about “a significant number of deaths” after the Pfizer shot.

“Please send us statistics on the age of your subscribers … and how much it would cost,” the mail concluded. The French investigative website Fact&Furious posted a mail describing Fazze’s budget as “considerable” and the fee as “the rate you wish”.

According to LinkedIn, Fazze’s management come from Moscow and have worked for an agency reportedly founded by a Russian entrepreneur.

French media have pointed to the similarities between Fazze’s message and the official Twitter account of Russia’s Sputnik V – a viral vector vaccine like AstraZeneca – which has repeatedly claimed “real world data” shows they are “safer and more efficient” than mRNA vaccines.

An EU study last month accused Russian and Chinese media of “state-sponsored disinformation” aimed at sowing mistrust in western vaccines by sensationalising safety concerns, making “unfounded links between shots and deaths in Europe”, and promoting Russian and Chinese vaccines as superior.

Now he is trying to prostitute India to the powers that are. This guy needs a swift kick in the ass and his citizenship should be revoked.

blah blah blah...He doesnt speak tamil fluently and he dislikes dravidian politics so I am going to attack him personally.

He is either a US Agent or nowadays a China Agent. He claims he knows Chinese, and has a lot of Chinese friends in their media. He claimed credit for opening up Manas Sarovar and Kailash. He claims he went there too. I have read firsthand accounts that tell he got a helicopter from IG and flew back after complaining of chest pain. He is a fraud basically. Taking credit for everything. 
 

Since 2014 . He has turned to Hindutva , has some sangh called Virat Hindu Samaj and is active in Hindu causes. He again claimed credit for RJB and A370, which I kinda believe, but there are other SC lawyers who should get the max credit, not this fraud.

 

The only thing I like about him is he is against DMK and was instrumental in bringing out the 2G scam and NH case which got RaGa and SoGa in trouble. 
 

But the guy can’t be trusted in BJP, he was dead against ABV and got his Govt down in 1999  conspiring with JJ and SoGa. Good that Jaitley kept him out the cabinet in 2014, banda still  is inspired to be the FM.
