For me somewhere between 45-50 years.

A big farmhouse in outskirts of a city less polluted, less populated but decent connectivity like Chandigarh.

Pune 10 years back would have been a good choice too but not anymore.

Or a house at a hill station like Lansdowne or Almora from where you can see Himalayan peaks from your window.

Put your fantasies in.:p:

Have ancestral place in that area and believe me it’s not as fascinating as it sounds. Water in these areas is a problem, hardly any medical facilities. Heck getting petrol itself is a painful process.

Will own a gun for safety, as long as there are no flying roaches, I am good. Vile insects attack people

Owning guns is not so easy. No one will issue guns for protection against animals. We encroach their land...woh kahan jaenge :((

If anyone want to live in the himalayas, they  have to adapt. If there are leopards around, then people walk with sticks, don't go out alone ,specially after sunset. Make noise while walking through thick green patches.

Water is a big problem in Lansdowne.

It is not so bad now. Roads are usually good or getting repaired ( tough to maintain ). There are enough petrol pumps but one had to keep a track of where the next one is. Medical facility is a big problem unless one is close to a city. But the air is so fresh, it adds a few good years to ones life.

The trick is to move there when one is fit and ready to enjoy nature. Not when one gets old and have a few medical conditions already . Life is definetely tougher .

Best is to have two living places. One small one in the hills that is easy to maintain, and another closer to a city . Enjoy the nature and keep your appointments with the doctors too.

Has anyone seen Kangana Ranaut's house in Shimla, I wouldn't mind retiring to a house and view like that

It's in Manali, the best hill station in India.

I will not shoot at the animals, but just to scare them away, or turn it upside down and use it like a club
