But every sport is mentally draining. I have seen way more fights and offence over football and hockey even in gully sports.

I was saying same thing. People can play even pitto and end up getting affected even by that in mohalla game.

Bajrang will face Haji Aliyev from Azerbaijan in the semis. Just saw a YouTube clip where Bajrang defeated him in Pro Wrestling league a few years ago. However it was close(8-6) and Bajrang was in much better shape fitness wise.

@Gollum and others please provide some insights.

How good is Australia 42 17 gold medals in total so far, and still number 4 in the world, nothing to do with being a "rich" country, with a population of just 25 million. It has everything to do with quality of living, education, nutrition etc.

Australia does not even give its athletic much for winning gold, this is also because of Australia's competitive nature in everything they do.

Why cant India be even half as good as the Aussies?

No we are better much better when we fly back. At least we are dignified. Win or lose. Good or bronze. And yes we are a billion people nation not 25 million.

Because in India, as a society, we don't take sports seriously. Neither it's a benchmark for anything. Sport is just a sport. There are more important things we as a country have to attend to.

Dude, there are tons of threads on the forum to express your love for cricket. Why cannot you keep this one thread free of cricket discussions?

Yes, Govt. need to feed 80 crore poor people and hence the funds needs to be diverted there. The funds reaches the poor is another matter altogether.
