  • Pant ahead of dhoni for me
  • No Zak in XI but will have in squad for sure, can use him in certain conditions against certain teams

I don't see any point of including a bowler who averaged almost 33 in tests, just for the left arm option.

Zaheer was fantastic in the later half of his career, the most skilful test bowler we have produced. Was not just a couple of performances but he did well for 5-6 years in some of the worst bowling conditions. That 2005/6-2011/12 was perhaps the worst time to be a bowler with so many ultra flat decks everywhere.

test status since 1932, 89 years of cricket and 1.4 billion population and cricket as its most popular sport by a large margin. And not a single quality pacer

How many pace bowlers you produced after bottle cap ban? Not a single pace bowler who took 200 wickets post that, while we produced some

And yes pace bowlers averaging in low and mid 20s are not quality at all, every single one from shami, bumarah  even bhuvi average 27 or below, and achieved more in tests than Imran or Waqar with series wins in Australia, test no 1 ranking etc

Just so we are clear, the ''very good'' second half here means an average of 31, less than Srinath's career average.

On the flat pitches he mostly bowled on and without support, that average isn't bad at all. I have a feeling bumrah will end his career beyond that average
