Don't be fooled, they shave the grass off in the morning. Lords is a batting track once the new ball is seen off. ECB will not prepare a green track considering their batsmen are in terrible form and they're heading into an away Ashes series in a month's time.

There is a reason Moeen is playing, England knows they will need spin for the Lord's test. They will play 3 seamers and replace Curran with Moeen.

Sam Curran bowls 125-130,so its no surprise he goes missing sometime. Broad looked good in 2nd innings

 

They play 4 seamers because Sam is very good batsman and they dont have a genuine spinner for Tests.Last time they played Rashid but hes not been good

 

If we had Pandya bowling  then we could play 4 seamers every game too with Ashwin.Jadeja would then sit out.

Wouldn't mind Wood. We can handle pace and bounce but not swing.Wood is more suited to SA/Aus type pitches.His home record is mediocre

Ishant will play, especially considering his Lords record. I don't think ECB will leave a lot of grass on the pitch. Because on current form it's difficult to pick either side when it comes to batting struggles in English conditions. If the track is very helpful, England can easily be 4 down in no time against Bumrah/Shani.
