That should most likely be the end of Broad's career. Eng won't risk an injury prone 35 year old for an Ashes series in Australia.

 

Anderson has injury concerns as well. Maybe the best time for England to transition into a new test match bowling attack of Wood, Overton and Mahmood.

 

They have 5 first choice players missing now - Stokes, Woakes, Anderson, Broad, Archer. Losing to them will be a pity.

That might be it for Broad.  Perhaps will get a farewell match next summer along with Jimmy. 

He always delivers a meme spell through the course of a series.  Looked in rhythm &,  fired up in 2nd Inn TB test.

Archer is a 2 test series player. Max 3. 

Stone is a one or 2 test player

 

Anderson is old and decrepit. Broad is losing steam. Not the same. 

 

and still good in helpful conditions.
