If Ashwin has any pride he should head back home.

Can't risk his own career for Ego, it's best for Ashwin to sit on the bench and smile at the harakiri, Best response to this injustice would be a performance with both bat and ball and then do a Mohd. Siraj on the field by humbly Shooing his persecutors.

Agreed, but brown nosing the captain culture is soo rampant in the national team now that no questions will be asked if he's dropped again as per the Kohli's mood swings! Someone has to take a stand in this team.

Kohli right now runs a fiefdom.... Shastri is stoned, rest of the management are what they are i.e govt. employees looking forward to retirement age, vice captain has eye sight issues, BCCI are Kohli bhakts, Sourav Ganguly will not discuss any topics that affects his blood pressure........ only person to raise a voice is Gavaskar....which counts for nothing.

i think he went back home in 1996 from england tour after having a fight with azhar

Azhar was a thug. Azhar was an asshole. Azhar had power gone to his head and chose not to select Sidhu and play his favorites.

Sidhu did the wrong thing but it was a direst result of arrogance of Azhar.

Same thing you can see happening now when you give too much power to one person i.e. the kaptaan.

Why should he? It is the TM that has no shame. While England have given chance after chance to Moeen, our geniuses have kept Ashwin out all series.

He plays cricket coz he loves playing it and a player plays till the time he is enjoying it .

If Team doesnt wanna play fine its their strategy which is fine, even though i dnt agree but its the plan

If  tomm he doesnt get selected for t20 Wc it ll be a blunder but then also he shud keep playing

two of India's biggest losses in recent yrs have been benching ashwin at his peak and missing out on Rohit sharma the LOI captain ...............but things go on

Ashwin didn't do bad in England as you keep trying to make it out to be. Besides Ashwin in current form being the highest wicket taker in test championship last year should be an automatic selection. No man with brain would sit him out for 4 matches in a row.

It's not about doing bad. Only one spinner is required in England and one of Jadeja and Ashwin has to sit out. I don't have short memory. We have been there before in many games where Ashwin played but didn't do well so him playing or not doesn't make a huge difference to the result. Yes, he could have played in place of Jaddu but not in place of a seamer. Four seamers keep them fresh and easy rotate them for captain. It's not like Ashwin is a match winner overseas. He is no Shane Warne. He just 14 wickets against England in England in 6 tests.

In recent times he has been doing well. It is even harder for offie to do well in A ustralia. He had Smith in all sorts of trouble in the recent tour. You cannot use that past as an experience. Based on that Shami should never play in England.

You are deliberately ignoring his recent forms and improvements. Using your logic rohit sharma should never play this series

He shouldn’t and he won’t.  His non selection has been controversial to say the least but what purpose would his walking out solve?

Not only would it solve nothing, it would also potentially be a career ender.  I can’t see today’s BCCI accepting such behaviour from a player, however wronged that player may have been.

It must be highly demotivating, but Ashwin’s best course of action would be to just suck it up.
