Here players are negative but they can turn positive during the game then it will be cancelled anyway if that happens. Yes before tournament even pant got affected. Not the same thing as during. However again the big issue is IPL getting affected which is all BCCI cares about

Shastri & Kohli will have to do lots of explaining. ECB can’t be blamed for Indian team not adhering to BCCI regulations. They were clearly told not to go to crowded events, that too without masks. Even staying in hotels Bio Bubble can be maintained. Teams which travel and maintain Bio Bubble don’t rent Villas to stay. They all stay in hotels. That’s how it works. Anybody saying that just staying in hotel Bio Bubble can’t be maintained are actually talking from their backsides… There's no bio bubble arrangements in hotels so how would you maintain bio bubble.
goose Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 my twitteer feed has England fans saying India planned this all along! the BCCI were never happy with a 5th test deep into Sep

People are dying in England right now, UK is reporting 40000+ cases, why are you even following this series? Hypocrisy much? I was always here. Playing cricket is one thing, playing cricket in the same place where people are dying by the thousands is disgusting. Yet the players fear a test match in England. Get real. beetle 1
mishra Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Match should be cancelled. Thats my view. Cant wait indefinitely to play England SRT100 1

AuxiliA Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 BCCI is not to blame here. The Team Manager, Coach and Captain are. Hope they are sanctioned. Anyways, postponing it until next year is the fairest solution for both teams.

Teams and boards will have to be prepared for such incidents and cancellation of games. Test should be cancelled plain. express bowling 1
QuarantineTormentino Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 I’m sorry, but if the test was going to happen, but the Indian players pulled out at the last minute to protect their IPL prospects, therefore leading to the match getting canceled, it should be counted as a forfeiture. I bet if the series was 2-2 leading upto now Kohli wouldn’t have even dreamt of getting this match cancelled to protect his IPL salary SRT100 1
