Group 1 was powerful till before WTC final, but now after losing the final, Group 2  has emerged as the more powerful group

Your thoughts guys?

It's Kohli vs all. He only has the coaching group on his side as they owe their current jobs to him.

The day Shastri and Sridhar credited Kohli for Aus series win, it was clear they were pimping for Kohli. And then for him to go "If any of you smile, there will be consequences"  during the Lord's test.

It's like a dictator whose time is over and he finds himself on his own.

Bumrah is kohlis favorite, how can he be in group 2? Also youngsters like gill are die hard kohli bhakts

Kohli ofcourse has to play Bumrah. But he tends to pin the blame on fast bowlers (without taking anyone's name) after a test match loss. Also Bumrah always plays better under Rohit in MI than under Virat for India!

Gill has to suck up to Virat to make sure he has a career! Not sure if he actually likes him!

He is dumb if he didnt notice the winds of change. Pant was already cozying up to rohit and not kohli

Pant & rohit have always got along well.

Gill should focus on rohit now!

The  buddy group of players of Kaptaan are out now . What remains mainly now is the guys who had the misfortune of being oppressed at some point in time or those who are living in a "Darr ka mahoul hai " environment of their place in the team. All of these guys were just hoping for some corrective action  from the very top in BCCI.

Winds will blow very quickly now.

Anyone who is likely to be a threat to his captaincy is kept out by KOhli. This was always known.  There was always an undercurrent between Rohit and Kohli.  Recently after the win this is what he had to say.

""Rohit's innings was outstanding, but the impact performance from the lower-middle order, Shardul's fifty was the difference, and a counterattack in the second innings. Looking to restrict us but he was outstanding. We never got towards statistics, we know what we focus on, we take a call on what feels best and we believe we can win Tests with it. Whatever the noise on the outset, it doesn't bother us.""

This was always the case. I don't remember he gushed about any of Rohit's performance in wc19 as well. May be I am wrong, I do pick up on these kind of cues.

He did gush about his century in second test in india.. it saved his bacon that innings. Since then india has won 5 out of the 7 tests played against england. Shd have been 6 without rain

That's the 161, isn't it?

I checked both cricinfo and cricbuzz post match interviews, there was no mention of Rohit. There was mention of his batting, red soil, axar, ashwin batting. No gushing on that 161 in any form. May be he later posted something on instagram?

Only non performer and replaceable people will suck to Kohlis ego. I doubt anyone in Indian team and BCCI respects Kohli that includes Thala too.

On contrary, Rohit has earned the “Respect” by performance. Just a example, He didn’t need to suckup to Thala. He proved his mettle by beating Thala in IPL and Thala is genuine person to acknowledge the capability, acumen, dedication and hardwork of Rohit.
