In case you didn't know, despite his poor showing in the match, Rabad had saved 14 runs off the final over against England in WC.

Rabada was always a better option than curren.

What??? I am talking about group match between eng and sa, where he defended 14 runs... He was going over 15runs that match  stil bavuma showed confidence on him  to defend 14 in final over.

alright i just mentioned my view. i don't think someone like dhoni at 40 would have connected most of his ball against rabada even if he was  bowling really trash in comparison to trash bowler like tom curran. Malinga was bad in last stage of his career yet rohit gave him bowl in death overs and he did deliver in 2019 ipl final when he was going 12+ rpo in that match as well.

Many people wont agree with you but the answer is No. We are trying to make Pant something which he clearly isn't. 

 

I would still give him few more T20 games but making him captain is out of question.
