Rahane HAS to be dropped for the next test

So with Kohli coming in for the next game let’s see the potential players he could replace:

 

1. Pujara? But then who will play at no 3

2. Iyer? Will be stupid to replace the first Indian to score a century and fifty on test debut

3. Jadeja? Management cannot make the case for dropping a bowler to strengthen the batting since Jadeja has out scored Rahane in this test match lmao. (In addition to picking up 5 wickets)

4. Mayank/Gill? Possible, might ask Che Gujara to open. But then again, who will play at 3?

5. Rahane? Yes, The most obvious candidate

If he had played this game, he would have lost the toss and our players would have been back the pavilion by tea time. One by one he is destroying the team's streaks and it looks like our home dominance streak is also under threat.

Mayank/Pujara/Rahane all must be dropped.  Mayank for his irrepairable technique. Pujara/Rahane for making our batting look one of the worst in the world.

We have been saying the same for years. I feel it will happen this time. Shreyas can not be dropped. We have only two openers in the squad, they have to play. Other three spots are filled by Kohli, WK, and, Jadeja. He may get dropped. Kohli got away with Karun Nair incident in 2016, but it is 2021, BCCI is all over him. He will not take such a risk.

If Mayank is not shaping up well against pace in the nets, open with Pujara (or Saha/Bharat) and give SKY at shot at #5-6 (not too many options in the squad)

Hahane is so poor with 20 avg that equally pathetic Gujara having 30 avg in last few years is escaping criticism. Ideally both these leeches should be thrown out and youngsters should get those position.
