NameGoesHere Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Next up: BCCI should take the janam kundalis of all opposition players before a series. Then select only those Indian kundalis which cancel out the opposition. I can imagine new Indian bowler Ram Dulara telling Steve Smith before the first ball at the Gabba: “My Mercury in the fifth planet is viscerally penetrating your Venus in the first, my dear. Time to get bowled, but LBW will also do”. While Bumrah, Shami and Siraj sit on the sidelines clutching their heads. Because their planets are all misaligned and Jay Shah says they can’t possibly play. Chakdephatte and poyzzplaidwell 1 1

Chakdephatte Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 For someone playing as a regular in the test for many years - getting “dropped” is a significant signal and ominous sign of things to come. It can only be considered terrible if you have been a regular and just the same year led the team to a series win in Aus against all odds. Getting dropped in NZ series because of a long drought of runs is not the same as being a non performer and playing on. He has gotten selected again without anything changing between the last test against NZ and the first upcoming test against RSA. What the drop meant is that - He is just a test match or 2 away from being binned permanently. He was not dropped, he was injured. That's what BCCI said. Also, we can almost never tell if a star is happy in his life, one might be doing good professionally but his own life is hell. We cannot tell if Rahane is having bad days based on his form alone.

Rahane is performing the same way for last four years, bad times! And he started this year leading the team to it's greatest series victory ever, it's not even worse than his last three years before it. You felt the urge to write this gibbesh when my post was in response to someone else. The guy’s a moron. Don’t waste your time with him.

Officially, Ashwin has rubbished it as "fake news". Buddy correspondents are used to leak matters, so that a message is communicated and then they can deny it officially. These grey-zone communication tactics are common in BCCI/ Indian cricket. https://www.timesnownews.com/sports/cricket/article/r-ashwin-slams-fake-news-as-rumours-of-him-complaining-about-virat-kohlis-captaincy-flood-social-media/818549 I mean if you think logically, do we expect him to actually answer Yes to this question ? How awkward would it make his relationship with Virat and vice versa given that they have to play in the same test side for atleast about 2 more years ? The fact that he was dropped for all the test matches in England, inspite being the best bowler in the WTC final that preceded it, should say alot about the relationship between the 2 players, regardless of the kind of managed photo ops they engage in. I would usually be skeptical about rumors. But with Ashwin/Kohli anything goes. Remember how Kohli mocked Ashwin with mankading gesture an act that Ashwin performed in a match completely unrelated to RCB. Ashwin played that incident cool. Have you seen Kohli doing the same to any other players? I know once he took a dig at Mumbai INdians. But Rohit didn't back down. He gave it back in the most subtle way. If you look at carefully he always kept the players who looked promising uncertain. He did that with Pujara, Rahane, KL Rahul everybody. rangeelaraja and Vijy 2
