Check his List A record. 4500 runs@54, 11 100s, SR is lower 78, . But for a dodgy knee, could well have played ODIs for India.

Good to see him get a county gig for a few months including early part of the season. Who knows he may still go onto have one last hurrah. Even otherwise, at 34, he definitely has a few more years of FC cricket left in him.

that's what matters. Easy to accumulate runs in List A

Has a horrendous County record, embarrassingly bad.

Pujara's record in the County Championship - 988 runs at an average of 29.93 from 36 innings, including three hundreds and three half-centuries.

Both Rahane and Pujara have terrible county records. Pujara is lucky to have got another stint. Counties should have rather tried to get someone like Sarfaraz Khan who has been a beast at home.

None of the current English players are averaging 40s. 30-35 seems to be norm currently.

SIGN HIM FOR THE HUNDREDD!! I'll go watch a match purely for the Count!!

That will be so funny. But BCCI does not give NOC to currently contracted players.

I am pretty sure else BBL/CPL/Hundred would have signed him and few other players, Even Saha etc for eyeballs.

The one day tournament is played alongside the hundred so it's generally a load of youngsters and the occasional FC specialist who wouldn't usually play limited overs.

oh k lol 100 as well ? With a comical stat of Gujara in the IPL it is funny to see him being considered. He has hit a grand total of 4 sixes in 30 IPL matches. Some players hit 4 sixes in one over.

brighton is indeed a beautiful place, albeit not at this time of yr. chepu will probably don some glasses, head to beach, and enjoy the sunset.
