Rate him very highly. In leagues of gilchrist. Only thing he can learn by looking at someone like kohli is score most at your peak and don't throw it away.

On some days he looks like one. On some, he looks like Afridi's second coming. But he has a test average of 40 which is pretty good given his batting style and current batting conditions. If he can maintain or better that and win us games in the process, he will attain ATG status for sure.

India should treat his runs as bonus runs. There will be phases  where his risky shots may not come off consistently.

Not Tuk tuk. Proper innings builders i am talking about. Treating his runs as bonus doesn't mean an insult. GIlchrist always insisted his runs were bonus. If you start to focus on him as a pure batsman he will be under scrutiny all the time which is no good. His primary job is keeping. As long as there is no drop in standard there his batting is secondary.

Ghanta... Pant has more match winning knocks than Rizwan in fewer test matches.

Rizwan is the most consistent keeper-batter around. Pant is the most impactful.

 

Either way, the no. 1 and no. 2 keepers in WC are from SC.

easier to be match winning for a better team. Ultimately numbers matter. Pant is more gifted but often throws it away.
