Last time i watched an ODI was WC19 final. Since then i have followed games but havent fully watched one nor do most.

The only game i am looking forward to is Asia cup where we get to beat the crap out of Pakistani hopefully 3 times.

This year’s Asia Cup (if it happens) would be T20s so you would be able to extend your run of not watching ODIs (if you don’t prefer to watch that format)

Another one crying about fatigue.. they can all retire . Why call an end for the format?

Quinton de Kock: 'It's going to start being tough for players - three formats is a lot'

QDK has retired from Test cricket, the most demanding and least lucrative format, at just 28 years of age. If his calendar is still super busy, then it is entirely upto him to cut down his participation in T20 league cricket to free up his time.

It may not go right for people but bilaterals either Test, ODIs, T20s especially away from home probably create the most interest. Multi-nation tournaments become bore fest like last T20 WC or last ODI WC apart from a match here and there.

World cups have become mainly overrated and borefest during league phase due to greedy scheduling  one match per day, they are generally for associate teams to grab the limelight.

The so called bastions of the game voted minnows out of the world cup in 2019.Three formats  is not the problem for the game.

Organisational failures of the  boards ( SL, Pakistan,WI, SA, NZ)  due to corruption or mismanagement to make game financially viable in their countries is the problem. They always depend on handouts from ICC.

Ashwin averaged under 30 for the first 40 matches or so. After ICC  changing power play rules with 2 new balls, it went over 30.

This rule needs to be rolled back along with 2 new balls. In the mind 2000s, there was a newly introduced ruled called super sub. It was discontinued after a few years. Why not discontinue bowler unfriendly rules to restore balance in the ODI format?

what about stats of all the batsman who enjoyed this time? why should future batsman agree to play on tougher track to break those records?

We had a rule like playing 12 players lol one guy for batting one for bowling. They had to change that. This is something similar to that.

Then what about the stats of yesteryear ODI players who played against just one new ball, with tougher field restrictions? Some of them even played ODI cricket against the red ball mostly! Should they get bonus marks added to their averages?

IMO the era of individual records is over. With massive amount of cricket and player rotation, I don't think we will see uninterrupted 10-15 year careers. I like the current situation where we are winning with reserve players. Just keep winning as a team and move players in and out as needed. Wins for the team are #1 priority. Individual records are a bonus.

For odi to be interesting triangular series quadrangular series should be played.

The series consisting of India ,Pakistan,Australia,England would be huge blockbuster.

A series can be formed by having 2 strong teams and 2 teams ie Ireland,Zimbabwe etc.

If a odi series ie Sahara Cup featuring India and Pakistan is scheduled in neutral place, consisting of 5 matches ,Wasim Akram will also have to change his tune regarding odi matches

The 3 or 4 team tournaments were stopped mainly because of rampant spot-betting and match fixing that were happening involving many teams and corresponding boards. Hence, they switched to only ICC conducted events and bi-laterals.
