Sean Bradley Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I think I have found a perfect playing combination and a squad of 15 for the T20 World Cup, with great batting depth and 6 bowling options. 1 Rohit 2 Pant 3 Kohli(assuming he's nt going anywhere) 4 Sky 5 Hooda 6 Pandya 7 Jadeja 8 B K 9 Bumrah 10 Siraj/Shami/ArshDeep 11 Chahal Reserves Bishnoi/Deepak Chahar tweaker 1
coffee_rules Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 Hooda can be back-up for KL in the above team. Shami in T20s can be expensive Stan AF 1
vvvslaxman Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 On paper. But T20 is all about form. It is a very unreliable side in both departments. Stan AF 1
Majestic Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 Rohit Pant Kohli KLR SKY Pandya Jadeja Bhuvi Harshal/Arshdeep Bumrah Yuzi Backups :- Kishan Hooda DK Bishnoi Arshdeep Umran/Avesh That will be the team for next t20 world cup. Lord 1

Few differences I had KLR and Hooda as backup I had Kuldeep or Ashwin instead of Bishnoi just for lack of experience My third pacer is Shami because the tournament is in Australia. Pity that will be taken by Harshal.. express bowling 1
I6MTW Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 There's no batting depth here. The tail starts essentially at 7.

These two can't be even compared. 11 minutes ago, I6MTW said: There's no batting depth here. The tail starts essentially at 7. Thakur/Ashwin are not of much use with ball. Have to keep specialist bowlers, no easy option. Edited July 23, 2022 by Chakdephatte

In the name of experience we backed wrong guys. Hasn't won a world T20 since 2007. We will be doing the exact same thing. raki05 1
zen Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 (edited) My preferred 11 (All top teams have more or less similar chances on paper before the tournament): Openers: KL & Gill (or someone like Pant) ... good against both pace and bounce #3: Hooda ... more or less the opposite of a "typical" Indian top order #1-3 batsman ... usually, won't waste balls (ok to get out trying to take the initiative. A quick 20-30 from him can set it up for the middle order #4-7. If he scores more, a bonus) ... can bowl an over or two too #4: SKY ... 360 degrees batting and no messing around when at the crease #5: SDP ... Ind's top LOI cricketer #6: DK ... Ind's most experienced and versatile (360 degrees too) in form lower middle order batsman #7: Tewatia (or Pant) ... an impactful finisher and a good fielder ... If Ind wants a bowling AR, Sundar is a dependable bowler and a useful batsman who can even bat in the top 3 #8: Moshin ... left arm pace bowler who can bowl at most stages #9: Bumrah ... A relatively experienced most stages pace bowler #10: Umran ... For X-factor ... The 11 has 4 pacers including Umran. Therefore, if he has an off-day, others can cover up #11: Yuzi (or equivalent) ... a wicket taking spinner Edited July 24, 2022 by zen nevada 1
PSB_Zone Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 If two pacer are out and out quick bowler, we can take Deepak chahar as third who will bat at 8
