An overlooked and underrated contribution of our top 3

In recent times their performances or lack of it have made our middle order raise their game and look more reliable.

I feel more confident in Our middle order now than I did back in the day when they were in their prime.

Hope we collectively peak in world tournaments going forward.

"Collectively", That's the catch here, we almost did that yesterday, assuming KeLa against Pakistan is a 0-1 given, everyone chipped in with small contributions and did their job, formed reasonable partnerships. Wish to see Pant in this line up,

#Nation wants a Pant, Nation doesn't want to expose their DKs.

No amount of lipstick (or self consoling or bringing in captaincy or experience or whatever) can make these guys look good, Ind simply has better options for T20s … …

It is just that Ind mindset in general falls into laggard domain where things have to be beyond obvious for selectors to either jump on to a bandwagon or ditch an idea :hmm:

It could be that that one more ICC event needs to be unnecessarily sacrificed before the obvious is understood as obvious (tube light)

I would say that the last t20 WC elimination was a result of failure of the complete batting order, both middle order and top order.

So our top 3 aren't  responsible for that-(Virat actually was the only one who did well vs Pakistan), the middle order failed horribly.

Now,  it's finally time for our middle order to step up, and they are doing okay, if they can reach the level of our top3' peak then I will say that they are finally justifying the backing they got.

Even in the last match, it was only Pandya who did well.

National treasure Surya was looted by Naseem Shah and Jaddu played an ok innings at best.

It feels like India's best chance of winning is if the top order get out quickly to give the middle order more time to save the innings.

Hitman, Kohli, KL have all been disappointing. At least Hitman and KL have produced knocks in the last 12-24 months.

Kohli has been in a downward spiral slump for over 3 years.

Earlier, When our MO was failing in key matches, the reason given was that they hog the strike in most bi-laterals and MO has no match practice and hence they fail. Now that the top is failing even in bi-laterals and MO got enough match practice and are used to pressure, suddenly MO becomes superb and they want MO to replace Top3. Can’t have it both ways.

Middle order means Pandya as of now..All other (Dk,Sky,Pant, Iyer) are still inconsistent..

attacking and consistency that to in middle order of t20 cricket hardly goes hand in hand

Pandya has hit his purple patch

Better on inform players to play most deliveries. Whats wrong in that.

Can keep Pandya and DK in middle
