Drop pant , pandya and bhuvi from T20s

Pant and bhuvi have been terrible this Asia cup. Pant doesn’t even how play T20s after being so long in Indian team and IPL. Bhuvi is useless lost two matches against Pakistan and srilanka. Pandya has been terrible last two matches as well 4 overs 40 and 4 overs 35. Pandya is a one dimensional bowler can’t be relied on to win matches.

As usual, ICF is bashing most Indian players.  But not a word on 360 degree SKY who bats at no. 4 slot , has all the time in the world to build his inning.  But ends up returning to the pavilion 360 degree style in every match with his SR barely touching 100 (excluding Minnows)

Today the way he got out was criminal. Already tried to play couple balls behind, every time there was no pace on the ball. Just when we needed to accelerate he lobs another slow one to give catch practice.

He continues to be the favourite of most ICFers here.  Any loss, they immediately point fingers at Bhuvi, Chahal etc.    Which isn't wrong by any means.   But this proven minnow basher always escapes any sort of criticism.

Anyone could have stepped in. Pandya boys will latch up to one decent performance but ignore multiple failures.

Pant is being poorly used imo. Give him a proper run in the top 4 positions. If he still fails, then axe him. He needs 10 balls to get going and number 5 and 6 are not suitable for that. SKY and Hardik can play 5 & 6 instead.

 

Bhuvi is fine in the powerplays. Give him 3 upfront and leave his 4th over as optional. Let Arshdeep and Boom handle death bowling. If he has to bowl a 4th, let him bowl 13th-14th over.

 

Pandya could've done better with the bat but I will not be overly critical of his bowling. He's not a specialist seamer, more of a support 4th pacer. Use him that way.

 

Bigger goofups were by the management and selectors.

Pant has an upside though, but he was very irresponsible.

I don't think we are going to see even a single major change till world t20. Before that in Aus and SA series too the same team will play. 

I hope they will come good in this time as they play more and gel together as a team. That's the only hope.

I don’t care how these guys perform till likes of Rohit-Kohli continue to occupy spots (and bat in the same positions) in T20s.

 

If they do well, I am happy (many are moved around the batting order too). If they fail, I am happy too as a team with Rohit-Kohli would not have been “carried”!

According to Rphit, team is 90% settled. Before Asia cup he had said 80-90 %. So they are just looking at 6 more matches against Aus and SA to fix the team keeping Aus in mind.
