Bumrah ruled out of world cup : PTI

It's high time, BCCI and Saurav Ganguly should intervene and check what's going on in NCA. Somewhere something is fishy in this incident which we as a cricket fans might not be aware of (unless one of us actually works at BCCI/NCA).

Also, we need to look beyond Bumrah now. I know he's just 28-29 but now he's having injuries frequently which not only is thwarting our plans, but is also impacting his confidence over his own body. Bumrah has been a champion bowler for us in white ball, but we all agree that it's his red ball exploits overseas which has given him the respect and admiration all over the world.

Hence, once he's fully recovered, we should avoid him in white ball cricket as much as we can and instead start trusting the other fast bowlers to take up the mantle. Maybe BCCI/TM can create 2-3 different pool of fast bowlers based on their average pace ( 140+, 130-140, 120-130) and start rotating them series by series.

This will actually help us during the big tournaments even if we have injury concerns, as then there will be a clarity of who can replace whom.

Not necessarily for his owners but probably to keep his own place as the captain. Was too desperate for “a” win.

PS as MI captain, he gets a 16 cr pay check ($$$ help in getting that Lamborghini Urus too).

I remember them playing Bumrah who had some nighle in their last IPL game against Delhi despite the fact they were already out of the tournament and assured of a wooden spoon. Absolutely pathetic

Selectors should be held accountable, inspite of having T20 against Ireland,Zimbabwe ,West Indies selectors were not able to foresee if a bowlers gets injured,if a bowler is complete out of form.

They tried to justify their selection by continously selecting the bowlers.Team management had to niggle  out the bowler.

Now rookie Arshdeep is looking the most complete bowler in the squad and there is no clearity on Shami,Siraj,Umesh,Deepak ,Shardul, etc

Everything is crystal clear. Don't get confused. Squad is already picked. After Bumrah injured, Shami will replace him if fit who is in standby. If Shami too isn't fit, only then anyone else will be picked.

Siraj should be in playing 11 for WT20 games.  He and Arshdeep hv the ability to pick early wickets in Aus, IMO.  Death bowling still remains a concern though in bumrah' absence.  Not sure why shami was picked for WT20 ahead of Siraj.  Siraj bowled really well in Zim.  Got bounce and swing both.

No. Siraj is not in WC squad. Shami is who is out due to Covid. Shami in standby will replace Bumrah.

Shami will **** his pants in Aus.He hasn't played any competitive cricket recently.Siraj just returned from County. It's a no brainer. Shami won't be going to WC if selectors have any brain left.
