Why didn't they do it in India.. Pakistan is anyway low quality ODI team, wouldn't have made a difference if they declined to participate.. Atleast India have a reason not to participate in Pakistan as it is terror ridden,morally paralysed country.

Do you honestly claim to compare the thousands of Indians who have died in terrorist attacked directly committed by Pakistanis, supported by Pakistani military, over years and decades,  to some random verbal support?

The current set of Pakistani players seem to be okay barring the show of passion which is expected  of a rivalry between the teams, the Indian team seems to get along with them well too. Irrespective of that Pakistan as country continues act hostile to India, fermenting terrorism, training terrorists, providing shelter to them. It also continues to be hostile in international forums & disrupts trade.

 

I don't understand how under these circumstances it expects Indian cricket team to tour their country? if they don't want to come to India for the WC thats okay with me. I don't think they stand a chance in ODI WC anyways.

India will insist on a neutral venue for next year's Asia Cup, that is scheduled to be held in Pakistan. After the Annual General Meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in Mumbai on Tuesday (October 18), the BCCI arrived at a conclusion that it will not travel to Pakistan for the continental championship and demand that the tournament be moved to a neutral venue.

"Neutral venue for Asia Cup is not unprecedented and we have decided that we will not travel to Pakistan," Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI and also the president of the ACC, said. "I have decided that we will play at a neutral venue," Shah said.

The 2022 edition of the Asia Cup, allotted to Sri Lanka was held in UAE. The 2023 edition, a 50-over championship, a pre-cursor to the World Cup in India, has been allotted to Pakistan. BCCI had initially kept the option of travelling to Pakistan but Shah clarified that the question does not arise.

India would have come to an understanding with ACC at that time and decided to move the tournamen to UAE to accommodate Pak.  It is not just an Indian decision since few countries play it, ACC makes the decisions for Asia cup hosting etc. 

 

Apparently news coming out that Ramiz is not backing down, he is going to fight it out.  Interesting times.
