Kuldeep Sen should have been in this squad instead; but him aside there simply arent the out and out quicks that everyone is clamouring for. Umran and Tyagi for e.g. have barely played FC cricket and Umran was ordinary for India A FC matches

 

What isn't nice is people insulting Unadkat- this isn't his fault, the guy deserves huge credit for being consistent for so many years. Even him being picked at 18 was not his fault, that was a truly idiotic decision that set his career back. I remember it well, it has based on one good match he had for the A team.

 

I also get that maybe we needed three pacemen and Yadav instead of Axar or Ashwin would weaken the batting, so this was a tough call.

Tough how? Kuldeep's probably a better batter than Undercutter & definitely more lethal than Aswin on current form! If you wanted a hybrid of Ashwin+left arm Undercutter maybe you should've waited 9 months first

So you're picking Ashwin/Axar because they're "better batters" even though Kuldeep easily outscored Axar last time, and Undercutter is also ahead of him because there's "grass" on the pitch? I guess we should bring SRT back as well because even at his age he would catch better than Brat & definitely can bowl leggie/off spinner even slow medium pace!
