Rohit is getting back at selectors for dropping Dhawan. Seems like TM wasn’t happy with that decision.

Funny thing is after MI paid 15 crores to Kishan,  Rohit was consistently using him as a T20 opener despite failures as practice for Mumbai Indians. Now his own place has become a threat since he is losing his T20 spot., he is making sure Kishan is not anywhere near contention.

Not even trying to hide..Open favouritism. It was okay for great players like Dhoni,Yuvi and all what the * they see in KLR is beyond my understanding. You have an opener who just scored double hundred who also happens to be keeper, then why play someone who isn't even keeper nor no.5 batter as keeper and no.5.. Absurd.

At first I thought this is to bring Dhawan back somehow. But now I see that it is being done to accommodate KLR in the team. If Kishan is kept out of XI, no question of SKY vs KLR debate.

Its not just currentTM ; previous TM also carried KL, they tried all the P&C to have him in the team. 

 

BCCI is looking for a new superstar before Kolhi and Rohit retires, to ripe the fruit of their success. They need a brand to sell cricket. 

I think Ind kit sponsors are already trying to pull-out and broadcasters are looking for discounts.

 

They are backing on KL, Gill and Pant and trying to promote them to all the formats even if they do not have records to justify the selection in that particular format.

Not okay per se, but a low percentage bet that they can turn the clock back to win a high stakes game or two like they did in their heyday.  But in the case of Rahul, it is a lost bet even before it is placed. The guy is.mentally shot and past the point of no return.

KL is being backed only by Rahul Dravid and may be Rohit Sharma, thats it. Selectors wanted him dropped and wanted to select Samson in ODIs for SL series. Chetan Sharma and Rahul Dravid are not in good terms from WC and there was a sort of fight between them in selection meeting.
