singhvivek141 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 I knew this was gonna happen, all that nautanki after the WT20 loss was just to cool down the cricitism. It's been 2 months and now the failed seniors are back from their caves to continue ruining the Indian Cricket. They know very well that with their current form, the youngsters will overshadow them if they continue to take "rest". Only solution is if selectors themselves openly announce that these "seniors" won't be considered in T20's. But the kind of mediocre bunch of selectors we have, it ain't gonna happen. nevada 1
nevada Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 No plan to step aside with dignity. What's new? This guy has done a complete about turn from a promising captain to a hopeless troll. Steadfast devotion to trundlers, escape from tough tours, refusal to back match winners, logic defying selections, AWOL in batting in big games - the laundry list of crimes is very long. Only a humiliating IPL can lead to his ouster from the T20 format. As for ODIs, the general opinion seems to be that he is still good, but I am not sure. He can still tuk tuk but cannot make up later as he did in his heyday. raki05, SRT100, Frustrated and 2 others 2 3

tapandrun Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 (edited) He has no reason to give-up t20, Ind cricketers never give up their spot till they are forcefully ousted. This kind of media statement was also required to keep his MI captainship with him, his captaincy was threatened last time as well when H.Pandaya took a stab at MI captainship before moving GT. With him not there in Ind T20s there are more reasons for MI management to look towards the future and have Kishan or SKY(for shortterm) as their captain. MI is already trying to focus on future by selecting newer and younger players Rohit knows losing spot in Ind team may lead to losing MI captainship Edited January 10, 2023 by tapandrun nevada 1

QuarantineTormentino Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Lol. In fact he should retire from all forms of professional cricket ASAP and start playing in t20 leagues more upto his speed like legends cricket league, Road safety series, etc

Why do you need IPL captaincy experience. Rohit has how many IPL trophies as captain? You need to be good player who will walk into the team based on merit. Make SKY captain and give him all the help he needs and we can take it from. I am against making bits and pieces players as captains. Edited January 10, 2023 by putrevus
