What are your thoughts on the idea that the Hawkeye got the point of impact wrong? I have seen this in other DRS instances

Its going leg side. And mostly I dont even support India. But the point is, this was an illegal delivery. We need to check that first. If anything at all, the bowler should be out.

This is precisely the approach towards science that helps nurture Saains-daans.
Usman Khwaja may be wondering, when I was invited for Biryani, I didn't realise dessert would be Shaahi Bakwaas.

This video proves absolutely nothing lol. He somehow assumes the "real" point of impact as one frame prior to the broadcasted one without any proof or side on angle or anything.

Even in the real time replay, you can see the off stump clearly with the  impact being on middle and leg. It turned big and Sachin was very much on the front foot too. Obviously, it would go onto miss the stumps. Some LBW calls are very deceptively close when bowlers go over the wicket (to the left of the umpire) , because the front-on broadcast camera is usually moved slightly to the right and upwards.at a very slight angle , once the bowler delivers the ball. Same reason why LBW calls are actually closer than they look when bowlers are bowling to the right side of the standing umpire...

Why are we even giving importance to something this guy says in 2023 in a random Pakistani podcast?  Their ex players want to make money by making outrageous claims.

Ajmal is uneducated and does not have a clue about most things. Dude still believes that the ICC screwed him over somehow. At best he is ignorant and if not, he's a liar and just trying to make whatever he can by getting some sympathy over there and by pissing people off over here.

As far as DRS is concerned , I believe there is/was some subjectivity with regards to impact points. But then again tough luck, Ajmal. HawkEye clarified there was nothing wrong with their ball tracking prediction and your board PCB and supporters were heavily pro DRS when BCCI had legitimate reservations about it back then.

He was a chucker all his life until he was kicked out.

So was Murali but at that time both of them were allowed to bowl.

yes. He was too. But this full sleeve merchant was more blatant.

Add to that, he is a shameless liar as well. He kept saying that he suffered an accident because of which he had a deformity in his arm, and that it was impossible for him to bowl with a proper action. The moment ICC banned him, he started bowling with a clean action in domestic cricket and lost his effectiveness in the process.

It's a shame ICC took so long to crack the whip on chuckers.

Ashwin's greatest legacy will be the stunt he pulled off in the 2014 Asia Cup, wearing full sleeves and chucking merrily in one of the games to taunt ICC. That accelerated the process of getting rid of this chucking menace.

In the most recent interviews Ajmal said Ashwin was chucking. But BCCI protected him for 6 months lol He still holds the grudge.

breaking news from chuckmal: all those catches that were dropped were because the BCCI used secret nanobots to get into the eyes of our players as they were about the catch the ball
