Local police says can't provide adequate security for two matches that are scheduled on successive days (October 9 & 10), especially Pak-SL game.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has now written to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) asking for a gap between two games, which it’s now scheduled to host on consecutive days. The Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Uppal will stage the New Zealand-Netherlands match on October 9, with the Pakistan-Sri Lanka fixture scheduled the next day. The latter game was earlier marked for October 12, but was rescheduled to provide Pakistan with enough time between fixtures after their match with India was brought forward by a day. Hyderabad will also host the Pakistan-Netherlands game on October 6.

I wish India doesn't hosts Asian Games or FIFA in next decade or so.  Forget about Olympics... Global Humiliation will be off the charts.

We are not properly able to host a puny a** Cricket World Cup properly with ton of venues available.

That will portray a very wrong picture, India IMO should go ahead and host as many tournaments as they can.

Mis management is a different thing, but hosting tournaments with successful security is what will help us in future.

Mis management will get rectified in the future, once the nincomps in BCCI will change.

Can't expect anything better from HCA..the committee will just gulp biryani with alcohol day in and day out. If HMDA police would not have raised the concern, I doubt HCA would have even noted the schedule. The second worst state cricket board in India (first is Bihar).

This is a BCCI problem not an India problem.

We've hosted a lot of major events without any such incompetence. Jay Shah lodu has completely fukked up all the levels and made BCCI just a rich chapri board...
