Ok too many goodie goodie and proud threads drama

We got embarassed in our own backyard and is most humiliating defeat ever and I am really angry and I guess everyone is

This thread is meant to get out your real Frustration and unpopular view

My views

India has been humiliated by Australia and we can never take revenge for this

Bumrah is overrated in odi and is good only for defending and not a strike bowler

Siraj is full crap

Sky is crap

Kuldeep is useless against big teams

Jadeja is always useless in white ball

Rohit fu..ed up

Kohli is too self obsessed

Iyer can't play pace bowlers

Australia had better bowlers than us and a long batting line up

Selection was pathetic always batting heavy team win world cups

We can't beat a western team in finals they are better built then us and also better intellect. We can only beat asian or wi team

This is biggest f..k up ever we built 10 years for it as it was not possible to win in Australia or England

Nothing else matters , we can't make up for it with as many win as in future

Naah, western teams are better due to being richer. We have reached parity with them and were on the wrong side of conditions in the final.

The western teams have a decade left when they can compete.

Australians don't even give a damn about cricket for them to care about "revenge" etc. We won CT in 2013 defeating Eng in Eng. 1983 WI team we defeated is better than any western team ever barring Aus 99-07 maybe.

After 2 new ball rule in ODI, Indian cricket witness cultural shift as such we don't have a single batsman who is a handy bowler or a bowler who can be a handy batsman. Atleast spinners like Kuldeep Yadav  or chahal should have been good enough to give regular contribution with the bat just like Harbhajan used to do.

Is Indian cricket team progressing or regressing?

Most important thing to invest in.

Need to have batting till 9. Sundar and Tilak Varma should be invested in massively. Raj Bawa maybe early callup.

Yeah Bhajji was a handy batsman and used to score quickly, too! Even scored couple of test centuries.

They outgunned us in every department. So no frustrations. India had a soft under belly at no.6 and no.7. We were worried about that spot. Against England we had a slightly more helpful conditions with slightly faster pitch. So we could defend. But on a slow tacky surface they negated that threat too from India.  We just have to tip our hat off to AUstralia and move on.

Eng were just rank bad but if they had played like they did in the final games they would likely have won chasing only 230.

Aus had plans A,B and C while Ind in contrast had no clue about how to adapt to fluid match situations. Sharma and Dravid simply cannot think on the go and most of the players just have one way of playing. Sport is about as much as mentality as it is talent.

Red vs black soil - biggest difference there, Oz were coming from a similar black soil track in Kolkata that turned more & we went from red flat deck in Mumbai to this slow deck in "Namo" gardens :cantstop:

we can comment all we want but nothing will change until team gives importance to clutch performers over seniority or experience.

Travis Head was sitting at home for 6 weeks due to fractured hand and they still brought him straight to the side on a WC.

That shows how much faith they have in him for his clutch performances. Same with Maxwell and Smith. They know the importance of clutch match winners.

Hardik was mismanaged the same way.

And Rinku Singh who is a clutch performer should have at least been selected to the 15.

The reality is if you take no risks, you are bound to face these issues.

Dhoni got saved by Raina and Yuvraj who are miles better than SKY and Jadeja in every way to win the WC 2011.

This team had 4 years to prepare and still messed up bad in finding a replacement for Raina and Yuvraj.

Everyone here are just as much a culprit due to stat padding. Gill for example will become a Kohli level stat padder rather than a Raina style match winner.

We just needed SKY, Rahul or Jadeja to fire a quick fire 50 in the end in 30 balls or so. Had we just had ONE of these players do that, we would have won the game.

Losers whine with excuses but winners find a way to win.

For once, our team should stop obsessing on any milestones. 5-wicket haul, 50th century, none of it matters.. The only thing that matters is winning the trophy.

I read somewhere about some Australian journalist commenting about the difference between Australian and Indian parental thinking.

When an Indian kid plays a game and comes back home, the parents would ask "How much did you score".

When an Australian kid plays a game and comes back home, the parents would ask "Did your team win".

The character of the team's final play was very similar to how Rahul Dravid played his entire career. Cautious...... except Rohit Sharma who unfortunately played rash.

As long as Rahul Dravid is coach, we will have a cautious team. They will not play their natural game without fear. They will play an unnatural game very cautiously. That style worked for Dravid. It would not have worked for Sehwag, Sachin or Laxman. Similarly it won't work for anyone now except maybe KL Rahul.

That goes for the bowlers and their bowling style too. Give Dravid Coetzee and he will have him bowling like Bhuvaneshwar. All line, length and gentle pace.
