The seniors can rest ,skip matches they like and make a comeback like nothing as happened, meanwhile such a players is selected who can be easily dumped once the star player is back. I always thought that this guy was wronged by both Shastri and Kohli for not selecting him in 2019 world cup. Given his loose technique against swing, they did not lose much. Link to comment

Still was selected for test teams from Nov 2021 regularly. Although he did well initially but still this whole selection process is just so random. Test selection is not linked with Ranji. Even Jaiswal played Ranji trophy.So how do you think IPl teams are influencing the selections in test cricket. Don't ask me how Pandya got selected to Indian team and became whiteball captain..
