Adamant Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 If not Harshit then who is the bCCI looking for, hopefully Harshit gets selected for the test series vs NZ. Siraj is out of form, Shami is suspect, apart from Akashdeep I only see Rana as a prospect ready for test cricket. I would be happy to see Mayank as a substitute too, considering last time a lot of our players got injured. tweaker, express bowling, MK55 and 1 other 4

He is someone who needs an arm on his shoulder. Emotional ladka hai (He is an emotional type). “For Harshit, again I would love to see his pace. He is deceptive, hits the handle of the bat and I want to see the slower one that he has developed. I won’t be worried about Harshit because his confidence is very high. He wants to be at the centre of the action. Sometimes, you need an arm around him to calm him down,” laughs Negi. Harshit is ideal bowler to play a series like BGT in Australia. And we are investing on losers like Dayal Mukesh lol Mosher, rollingstoned, express bowling and 1 other 4

JaFanatic Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Tearaway Mayank didn't train much in the lead up to the series opener which could mean a debut for Harshit on Sunday. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/bangladesh-in-india-2024-25-1439844/india-vs-bangladesh-1st-t20i-1439893/match-preview

rkt.india Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Both should play ideally. Arshdeep, Mayank Harshit Sundar bishnoi should be the bowling attack in which Harshit and Sundar can bat at 7, 8. Even Arshdeep can throw his bat around. singhvivek141 1

Exactly, only scenario where one of Mayank or Harshit sits out is if we are giving debut to Nithish as well. Which I doubt as Nithish's batting is his stronger suit in comparison to bowling. Nithish may get a game, but probably at the end, he is earmarked for longest format where Pandya is mostly unavailable. Tets bowling is an art and requires lot of skill .. just the pace will not help He is a good bowler but that doesn't mean he will be a good tets match bowler... He needs to know .. how to setup a batsmen... Conventional swing and reverse swing ..seam

vvvslaxman Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 I am satisfied with his show today. Actually he was quiet impressive from the fact when he hit the 3/4 length batsmen had no time to adjust. Most of the runs came against balls that were short and wide which he didn't have to attempt. Another positive aspect is he was able to move the ball away from the batsman which is more than handy at pace. As long as he can stay injury free he will do well at the itnernationals.
vayuu1 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 During interview with akash and rp singh he clearly said he knows he can bowl quicker , it's just that doesn't want to rush at things and want his body to adjust,he clearly said his USP is his extra pace, its Just that right now his focus is combining pace with accuracy and better line and length, after interview rp singh said that Mayank can easily bowl 155 probably 160 but he liked how he is not rushing at things and letting his body adjust plus he has better control and also working towards variations which was echoed by akash chopra express bowling and Mosher 2
express bowling Posted October 6, 2024 Author Posted October 6, 2024 Different types of deliveries bowled by Mayank on debut. ■ Indipping accurate yorkers at 145 k to 148 k. ■ Inseaming or angling in quick and accurate bumpers. ■ Stump directed zippy quick delivery. ■ Away seaming channel ball at pace ■ Good slower balls. ■ Back of a length bouncing channel ball .. ( this is the only type of delivery that got hit via upper cuts ) He will probably end up as a faster and taller version of Bumrah, provided he stays fit. That is the dream, because he seems a thinking bowler like Bumrah. But needs to stay fit and play FC for now
